Amber and Trent have always tried to raise the children as best as possible. But that doesn’t mean there won’t be unexpected hiccups along the way. Sometimes, many other things can influence kids, and they can make bad choices.

This was the case with Jonah and his stint with Delta 8. But that is in the past. Now, the eldest 7 Little Johnstons kid has a new hobby slowly turning into his passion. It involves smoked meat and helps him with his emotional well-being!

7 Little Johnstons: Jonah’s New Passion Is “Smoked Meat”

Jonah had a brief stint with drugs on 7 Little Johnstons. Amber and Trent’s eldest child briefly delved into a marijuana variant Delta 8. It had bad effects on him. Soon, Jonah realized the error of his ways and temporarily moved back home with Amber and Trent. But he soon moved out and got a job as a sales representative.

However, that isn’t the only new thing with Jonah. The star also has a new hobby, which is slowly becoming his passion. Jonah is in love with barbequing meats. He talked about it while on lunch with his sisters Anna and Liz. Jonah also revealed that he and his friend Brian have been practicing the skill to perfect the craft.

In a confessional, Jonah revealed that “smoking meat” gave him “great joy.” The hobby helped him a lot, and he “didn’t realize” that “until after “he was done.” Liz was happy Jonah’s new passion was helping him fix “his (physical and mental) health. In fact, Jonah’s passion is not only helping him but also the family as they get to enjoy good food.

Jonah also showed a little bit of his new skill at Liz’s birthday party. Since then, his love for BBQing has only grown. In fact, the 7 Little Johnstons season 14 storyline hints that he might also be making a career out of it. For now, we know that we will be able to see more of Jonah’s barbequing skills on the screen in the new season.

7 Little Johnstons: Jonah Might Get Competitive About Barbequing

Jonah is in love with barbequing. In fact, he also told his sisters during lunch that he had been practicing to hone his new skills. The 7 Little Johnstons star also tested his BBQing skills during Liz’s birthday party.

In June 2023, Amber posted an update about Jonah’s Barbequing. She shared a photo of Jonah preparing food at a table. Amber revealed it was Jonah’s “1st Barbeque competition” in the caption.

Though we don’t have any updates about the competition, it looks like Jonah is still BBQing. We might also be able to see some of his BBQing techniques in the new season.
