The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Friday, July 28, reveals that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) stopped by the cliff house again and learned Kelly Spencer (Sophia Paras McKinlay) was at a sleepover with a guard outside.
John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) had pulled an all-nighter at the hospital, so Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) hadn’t had a chance to ask him about the hug Liam caught on video.
Liam argued that his trust in Finn had taken a nosedive due to that embrace, so he felt Finn’s loyalty had been called into question.
Steffy insisted Finn’s family was his number one priority, but Liam wasn’t so sure about that anymore and felt Finn’s actions were an open invitation for Sheila to come into their lives.
Although Steffy did find the hug upsetting and confusing, she trusted that Finn would put his family first and protect all of them from Sheila.
Liam couldn’t give Finn the benefit of the doubt since there was just too much at stake.
Steffy wasn’t willing to throw everything she knew to be true away over one hug, but Liam felt Steffy couldn’t rely on Finn to protect Kelly and Hayes Forrester Finnegan (Alexander and Chase Banks) – at least until she had a conversation with her husband.
Since Liam had a good gut in cases like this, he warned that he had a feeling something was going to happen – something awful!
At the hospital, Finn told Nurse R. Rose (Samantha Cuteran) that his stepdaughter was being dropped off after a sleepover, so she agreed to bring her to his office.
Since Nurse Rose had heard about Sheila going free, she told Finn that she was very sorry.
Finn flashed back to hugging Sheila before Kelly rushed in and expressed excitement over going to the beach with him before her daddy-daughter day with Liam.
Nurse Rose complimented Finn and Kelly’s sweet bond, so he said sometimes it was nice to be reminded of what’s important.
Before Finn left with Kelly, he told Nurse Rose that he was still on call, so she should reach out if anything changed regarding Mr. Rodriguez’s condition.
At Deacon Sharpe’s (Sean Kanan) apartment, Sheila showed up in another disguise and talked about how everything was coming up roses for her.
Deacon quickly grew concerned since Sheila usually ended up in a cycle of getting her hopes up, becoming obsessed and taking crazy actions.
Sheila scolded Deacon for the use of the word “crazy” and explained why she believed she was making legitimate progress.
Once Deacon heard the story of Finn hugging Sheila back at the courthouse, he admitted he was blown away over the news.
Sheila insisted she would prove that she’d changed and that she deserved Finn’s love.
When Deacon asked where Sheila was headed, she said she was going to see Finn and convince him that she could be a positive force in his life.
Back at the cliff house on Friday’s B&B episode, Steffy told Liam about Kelly going to the beach with Finn for a little while after her sleepover.
There was also talk about looking for a new nanny who was trained in self-defense, so Liam pointed out that even average playdates came with a new intensity and reasons to worry.
On the beach, Finn built a sandcastle with Kelly and suggested they should get some water for the moat.
Sheila showed up and watched nearby, but Finn and Kelly remained oblivious to her presence.
Finn reminded Kelly that they always had to be careful around water and respect the ocean, so she assured him that she knew.
Once Finn got a call from Nurse Rose at the hospital, he struggled to hear her since static was breaking it up.
Finn told Kelly to stay put and stepped away to take the call, which led to him turning his back.
Kelly wound up heading toward the water with her pail to refill the moat, so Sheila grew worried.
After Kelly got swept up in the waves and faced danger, Sheila called out her name and went running over to save her.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say some scary scenes are still to come, so stay tuned for updates on all the beach turmoil.
