The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) has been through a total nightmare thanks to “Sugar” aka Janet Webber (Kimberlin Brown), who locked her up and left her to rot in that abandoned building.

Sheila cried as she told John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) how she tried to stop Sugar.

Since Sheila was unaware of what happened in the outside world, she was distraught thinking Sugar had gone through with her plan to eliminate Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).

Sheila honestly isn’t in any condition to be pulling off an act right now, so her despair and eventual relief over Steffy’s survival seemed genuine.

Finn told Sheila that Steffy was fine along with the rest of their family, so Sheila was comforted over that news.

Thanks to Sheila’s awful situation and Kimberlin Brown’s endearing performance, it was almost easy to forget Sheila’s horrible history – at least for a moment. Sheila looked downright pitiful sitting there all weak, dirty and distressed.

We’re seeing a Sheila who seemed truly upset about the idea of Finn’s beloved wife being taken out.

That’s a huge change from the Sheila we’ve seen in the past – the one who tried to take Steffy out in the alley herself!

That’s why we have to ask: Does Sheila deserve fans’ sympathy? Are you buying B&B’s villain-to-victim arc?

Based on social media feedback, it seems like viewers have had mixed reactions when it comes to this storyline.

Some fans can’t help but feel compassion for Sheila under these harsh circumstances.

Sheila was chained up and would’ve perished if Deacon hadn’t come to her rescue along with Finn. When Finn and Sheila shared that powerful hug at the end of the May 1 episode, it was arguably a pretty moving scene.

That said, there are some viewers who understandably can’t overlook all the other terrible things Sheila’s done over the years.

Sheila almost wiped Steffy, Finn and even Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) off the map, so she’s made the kind of mistakes that are hard to forgive.

Whether you think Sheila deserves another chance or not, we get why Finn is feeling connected to her.

We also get why Steffy might never be willing to accept Sheila – no matter how much of a victim she is in this particular story.
