Days of Our Lives Recap: Wednesday, March 13 – Lani’s False Alarm – Wendy’s Fuzzy Memory – Paulina & Abe’s Secret

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, March 13, reveals that Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) was pensive over his role in helping Clyde Weston (James Read) escape, but he acted like he was just concerned about so much drama going on when Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) quizzed him.

Kayla pointed out there was some good news to report since Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) was miraculously on the mend at the hospital. Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) and Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) were OK too, so Kayla thought things were looking up.

In Wendy’s hospital room on Wednesday’s Days episode, she flashed back to “marrying” Tripp in captivity and seemed deep in thought.

Tripp snuck in Wendy’s room and noticed that Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) had sent her flowers to apologize for the whole ordeal.

Although Tripp knew Ava didn’t mean for any of this to go down, he worried about history repeating itself and suggested he couldn’t live with anything else happening to Wendy.

However, Wendy reminded Tripp that she was perfectly capable of getting herself in and out of messes, so she had no intention of letting all the chaos come between them.

Wendy wondered if maybe she imagined what happened just before they ran out of air, but Tripp pushed her to tell him and seemed eager to know if she remembered the same thing.

Unfortunately, Tripp and Wendy kept getting interrupted as they tried to broach the topic of their makeshift wedding in the tank.

In Paulina’s room, Lani Grant (Sal Stowers) panicked when her mom wasn’t in her bed, but Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) urged her not to jump to conclusions since Abe Carver (James Reynolds) would’ve offered updates if anything was seriously wrong.

Thankfully, it was a false alarm since Paulina was just off getting more tests done. It wasn’t long until Paulina was wheeled back in with confirmation that she was doing much better.

Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) informed Paulina, Abe, Lani, Eli, Chanel DiMera (Raven Bowens) and Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) that Paulina’s unexplained recovery was nothing short of a miracle.

Paulina eventually admitted they had another miracle to celebrate since Abe had his memory back, so Lani and the others were elated.

Once Eli got a call, he told Lani about the job offer coming through – which was everything he asked for and more. This would mean additional money and time at home with Lani along with the twins, but they’d have to move to Washington, D.C.

After letting Paulina have a visit with Jules Grant and Carver Grant, Lani and Eli broke the news about the job offer and potential move.

Since Lani said Eli would only take it if her mom could be happy for them, Paulina reluctantly went along with the idea.

In the town square on Wednesday’s Days episode, Steve and Kayla ran into Chanel and Johnny.

That led to all of them trading info, so Johnny and Chanel found out Tripp and Wendy just survived a hostage crisis.

Chanel and Johnny also informed Kayla and Steve about Abe’s memory coming back, so they all agreed it was truly a miraculous time in Salem.

Back at the hospital on Wednesday’s DOOL show, Steve apologized to Tripp for cracking his rib when he did CPR, but Tripp was just grateful that his dad saved his life.

When Tripp let it slip that he’d been keeping Ava’s involvement in the drug operation a secret before the kidnapping, Steve was irritated. Nevertheless, Steve eventually admitted it was Ava he was angry with – not Tripp.

On Wednesday’s Days episode, Johnny and Chanel also paid Wendy and Tripp a visit to check on them. That led to Wendy spotting Chanel’s wedding ring and congratulating her along with Johnny.

Tripp was happy for the newlyweds too – and once he was alone with Wendy later, he got her to admit what she recalled from when they were running out of air in the tank. Wendy asked if Tripp really proposed to her.

As for Chanel and Johnny, they acknowledged that they hadn’t been on a honeymoon yet and didn’t want to go too far from home.

Sarah suggested Johnny and Chanel were welcome to use the Horton cabin, so they gladly accepted the offer.

Once Paulina and Abe shared a moment alone, they decided to keep Lexie Carver’s (Jennifer K. Lee) role in healing them both a secret since no one would probably believe it anyway.

Steve and Kayla showed up in Paulina’s room at one point, so they shared how delighted they were over Paulina’s recovery and Abe’s memories coming back. Abe wanted to move in with Paulina again, so she was ecstatic over that decision.

Afterward, Steve remained fixated on Clyde’s escape and warned Kayla that the SOB had better hope the police catch up with him before Steve did!
