General Hospital Recap: Thursday, February 29 – Michael’s SOS Call for Dex’s Return – Sonny Goads John to Take a Swing

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, February 29, reveals that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) lashed out over Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) setting him up, but Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) urged Michael to take a walk while he talked to their father.

Sonny insisted “Judas” didn’t have a right to know about anything in his life, but Dante thought Sonny would have to learn to be civil one day.

Michael eventually rejoined the conversation to tell his dad to be careful since he didn’t want Sonny to do something he might regret because of him.

John Cates (Adam Harrington) showed up moments later, but he insisted he was just there for a workout.

Sonny approached John anyway to confront him over his conversation with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), but John made it clear that he’d talk to anyone he wanted to.

Next, Sonny goaded John by acting like he abandoned Stone Cates (Michael Sutton) when Stone needed his brother most. Since John cheated on Karen Wexler (Marie Wilson), Sonny used that to rile him up, too.

After Sonny said John was a bad husband and a bad brother, John tried to take a swing at him. Sonny pulled back, but he asked if John wanted to do that again and kept provoking him.

Dante and Michael broke things up, but Sonny privately told Dante that he was trying to get John to hit him so that he’d be sent back to Washington.

Sonny argued that John was either going to get him shot or set him up for something worse, so he didn’t trust Agent Cates at all.

Dante seemed intrigued as Sonny insisted the truth was going to come out about “Jagger.”

As for John, he warned Michael that Sonny’s luck was running out and left Michael looking pensive.

In Rockland, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) bickered about whether he should come home with her.

Josslyn was convinced that they should just call Sonny’s bluff.

Dex argued that if he came back and Sonny did nothing, that made Sonny look weak and put everyone at risk.

Josslyn was the best thing that ever happened to Dex, so he refused to drag her down with him and said she had to let him go.

However, Michael got Josslyn on the phone and insisted that if she found Dex, she should bring him home to Port Charles and refuse to take no for an answer.

Once Josslyn gave Dex updates on the phone call and relayed Michael’s news, she assumed Sonny was in trouble and needed Dex’s help.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) initially seemed angry as he confronted Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) over the prenup, but she blamed Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) for how it all went down.

Chase was calmer as he acknowledged the possibility that their marriage might not make it, so this prenup issue brought up some old wounds from his previous marriage to Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen).

Brook Lynn assured Chase that this time he was marrying someone who loved him – not someone who was acting out of obligation while he was on his deathbed.

Chase admitted couldn’t wait to tie the knot and that he just wanted to make Brook Lynn happy, so he hurriedly signed the prenup papers.

Brook Lynn insisted Chase should never sign an agreement without reading it, so she ripped the papers up and suggested they’d talk to the lawyers together.

Chase hoped Brook Lynn would pick another wedding dress since he didn’t want to risk bad luck now that he’d seen her in this one.

Brook Lynn hinted about wanting to wear Lila Quartermaine’s (Anna Lee) bridal gown that Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) had worn, but she knew Tracy really missed Lila and didn’t want to make things more painful.

In the living room on Thursday’s GH episode, Lois put Tracy on full blast for her constant interference, but Tracy argued that one interloper could do a lot of damage.

Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) overheard as he arrived, so Tracy smoothed things over by suggesting she should’ve said “newcomer” and explaining her perspective.

Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) also told Lois that she thought Brook Lynn secretly wanted to wear Lila’s wedding dress, so Lois realized they had to find a way to get Tracy on board and make this happen.

Lois later dropped hints to Tracy about giving Brook Lynn something meaningful that maybe wasn’t easy for her to give.

Once Chase appeared with Brook Lynn, they said they were going to discuss the prenup with their attorneys. Chase knew Tracy just wanted to protect her family, so he said that’s what he wanted too and gave her a hug.

Brook Lynn was ready to get back to her dress hunt, but Tracy acknowledged that she was evasive earlier and admitted she regretted not wearing her mother’s dress when it was offered to her.

Nevertheless, Tracy had come to realize that Lila’s dress was never meant for her to wear; it was meant for her to share. After Tracy brought the dress out of storage, Brook Lynn thanked her over the sweet gesture.

At Hamilton Finn’s (Michael Easton) place, he filled Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) in on the prenup drama before talk turned to a wedding invitation Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) had made for herself.

Finn flipped out a bit, but Liz acted like it was normal for kids to have crushes and mimic adult behavior.

That led to Finn asking if marriage was something Elizabeth thought about, so she suggested she liked their relationship the way it was and felt they had the luxury of time.

There was no need to rush according to Liz, so Finn was relieved since he felt the same way.

Finn also worried about not giving Chase a very enthusiastic response to his best man request.

When Chase returned with Gregory and confirmed that he sorted things out with Brook Lynn, the best man thing came up again.

Chase didn’t want to put pressure on Finn and offered to ask somebody else, but Finn was adamant about accepting the honor.

General Hospital spoilers say Chase and Brook Lynn’s wedding is sure to be an event to remember, so stick with the ABC soap!
