General Hospital Recap: Tuesday, March 5 – Dex & Josslyn Find Dante – Laura Stops Heather’s Attack on Cyrus

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, March 5, reveals that Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) opened up to Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) about his misdiagnosis and the confirmation he now had. Marshall had been reluctant to share before since he felt like a fool and regretted how he handled things in the past.

Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) admitted she did some digging and found out the name of the doctor who first signed off on Marshall’s wrong schizophrenia diagnosis.

Curtis wanted to put his investigative skills to good use and help Marshall get the answers he needed, but Marshall was reluctant at first.

However, Stella and Curtis eventually got Marshall on board with accepting their assistance.

At GH, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) found Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) in the chapel while Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) was with Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) awaiting test results.

Laura seemed surprised over how sweet Cyrus was being, but she grew worried when he hinted about there being no limit to what he’ll do for the people he loves – and no limit to what he’ll do to those who try to hurt them.

Cyrus told Laura that his attempts to change were genuine, but she needed more than words to convince her of that.

Since Cyrus had been helpful with Ace tonight, Laura seemed to think that was a nice start.

Meanwhile, Heather Webber (Alley Mills) unlocked her handcuffs and tricked her guard into getting her some water.

That gave Heather a chance to bash the guard over the head and make a break for it.

In the chapel, Heather cornered Cyrus alone with a bone saw that she’d scored from elsewhere the hospital.

As Heather ranted about Esme Prince’s (Avery Pohl) grim fate and Cyrus’ treatment of her, she vowed to be a mother to Ace and nearly attacked Cyrus.

Laura returned just in time and managed to attack Heather from behind first.

Heather was hauled off in handcuffs after her head injury, but she suddenly had difficulty breathing and collapsed on the floor.

In the car, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) went over the speed limit with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) in the passenger seat as they made their way back to Port Charles.

After Josslyn called Brick (Stephen A. Smith) and got some police scanner updates, she found out about the gunfire near the waterfront.

Dex wanted to drop Josslyn off at the next exit, but she insisted on going with him.

On the pier, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) made a pressure bandage for Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and called 911 to get paramedics over there ASAP.

Once Jason heard the sirens and was certain help would arrive soon, he took off. Jason eventually stopped at a dumpster and touched his side, which was apparently bloody from a bullet wound.

Back on the pier, Josslyn and Dex were stunned to find unconscious Dante.

Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) joined them and couldn’t find Dante’s pulse, so Dex started chest compressions while Josslyn said she’d do rescue breathing.

Chase got a pulse back before letting the paramedics take over.

Dex, Josslyn and Chase were all perplexed over who would bandage Dante, elevate his legs and leave 911 on the line before taking off.

At the warehouse, John “Jagger” Cates threatened to hold Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) at an FBI facility for 48 hours since he had the right to do that.

Sonny felt this was really about John’s grudge over Karen Wexler (Marie Wilson), so John ranted about Sonny persuading a vulnerable underage girl to strip, do drugs and sleep with him.

Sonny regretted how he handled things with Karen, but he stood by the fact that he cared about her as well as Stone Cates (Michael Sutton).

John insisted Sonny exploited Stone and used the situation to become the “mobster with a heart of gold.”

Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) ultimately stopped John’s tirade before stepping away for a phone call.

John also left to handle something, so Ava was left alone with Sonny.

For what it was worth, Ava said she believed Sonny was trying to help Karen, so he thanked her for saying that.

Of course, Ava knew John would never change his opinion, so she suggested that an FBI agent with a grudge was a terrible enemy to have.

Sonny also expressed concern over John getting his hands on the surveillance footage, so he sent Ava to find Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) so they could get to it first.

After Anna learned Dante had been shot, she gave Sonny the bad news and announced they were headed to GH.

Later, John examined a state-of-the-art camera that was found in the warehouse and thought there could be more as part of Sonny and Selina Wu’s (Lydia Look) plan.

Agent Cates also wanted to learn what network those cameras were running on along with what was on the footage and who had it.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) was glad Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) helped Dante deal with his PTSD and find happiness again.

Sam felt like the lucky one and shared a sweet moment with Olivia as they talked.

Olivia fished to find out whether marriage might be on the horizon for Sam and Dante, but Sam suggested that they liked the way things were for now.

Once Dex and Josslyn arrived, they filled a horrified Olivia and Sam in on Dante’s shooting.

General Hospital spoilers say Sam and Olivia will head to GH for more answers soon, so stay tuned.
