General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is playing with fire by going up against Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), so that could mean he’s going to get burned! It’s never a good idea to mess with Sonny, who has a history of taking charge in alarming ways.

Even more people will end up on Sonny’s list of enemies as this Pikeman storyline hopefully reaches its climax.

Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) certainly deserves to pay for his role in all the drama, but we can’t overlook Valentin’s role either.

Now that Valentin has taken over running Pikeman for the time being, he’s trying a new strategy to handle Sonny.

The hits obviously haven’t worked out very well, so Valentin delivered orders for Sonny’s medication to be weakened.

Now Valentin feels like Sonny’s going to drive himself off the deep end and land in Pentonville as a result.

Sonny will be out of the picture through his incarceration if Valentin’s plan works out like he wants.

Of course, Sonny is already facing potential charges now that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) has made a statement against him.

Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) seems poised to move forward with Sonny’s arrest sooner or later, so he could indeed get locked up.

However, Sonny may prove he’s still powerful behind bars – or maybe he’ll get off the hook before he has to carry out a real prison stint.

Regardless, there’ll come a point when the situation with Valentin should become crystal clear to Sonny.

One way or another, Sonny should come to realize that Valentin is now running Pikeman and that he’s behind the altered prescription dose.

Will Sonny really let Valentin live after a discovery like that? Can Valentin survive Sonny’s wrath once his dirty deeds come to light?

The ultimate Cassadina and Corinthos showdown could be brewing, so it’ll be interesting to see how it all plays out.

Valentin is getting the kind of writing that could build to a shocking exit, so it’s worth considering the possibility that Sonny will show him who’s boss and truly wipe him off the map.

Then again, it’s possible Valentin will manage to stay alive and either get back on a better path or continue down this road as GH’s main Cassadine villain.
