It’s been a hot minute since General Hospital (GH) alum, Sean Blakemore (ex-Shawn Butler) has been in the land of Port Charles, and while ABC daytime drama fans miss him, the good news is that CBS primetime viewers are in store for something special.

GH Alum Sean Blakemore Set To Appear On “S.W.A.T.”

A photo “sneak peak” has surfaced for S.W.A.T.’s next show (Season 7, Episode 10), which is airing this Friday, April 26 at 8 p.m. (ET) on CBS (also streaming on Paramount+).

The pic shows Blakemore, behind the scenes on S.W.A.T., as he is ready to aim at someone with a gun. In fact, he looks like a sniper!

Who exactly is Blakemore’s character targeting from that window? Could it be, Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson himself, played by another former soap star hottie, Young and the Restless’s (Y&R) Shemar Moore (ex-Malcolm Winters)? Fans will have to tune in to find out!

Will Sean Blakemore Be A Bad Guy?

S.W.A.T.’s episode this week is titled “SNAFU” and after reading spoilers, it’s hard not to think that Blakemore could play a bad guy role. According to teasers for S.W.A.T.’s Season 7, Episode 10, the team is looking for a sniper who is wreaking havoc in Los Angeles; one that has a tie to Hondo’s South L.A. neighborhood. Will this appearance be a one-off for Blakemore, or could S.W.A.T. audiences see more of him in the future?

The actor was last seen on GH in March 2022, and Shawn Butler has a ton of roots in the little town, which could signal a return to the soap. His son resides in PC, TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow), so, could he end up returning anytime soon? Especially on the cusp, or in the aftermath, of his first grandchild being born?

Then again, he’s also super close to Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), so really anything could bring him back to ABC daytime screens, as well. Only time will tell.
