General Hospital Recap: Monday, April 29 – Ava Leaks Sonny’s Meds Secret, Nikolas Warns Playing with Fire

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, April 29, reveals that Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) ran into Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) in the park and pushed for answers about whether Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) really sent him to finish off Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).

When Dex suggested they shouldn’t discuss this, Kristina realized it was true.

Once Kristina got Dex to admit Sonny seemed more volatile after what happened in Puerto Rico, she seemed to think it was connected to when Ava Jerome (Maura West) moved in.

Once Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) appeared, Kristina admitted Joss was right about Sonny ordering Dex to go after Cyrus.

Josslyn seemed apologetic for telling Kristina the way that she did, but Kristina just took off.

Afterward on Monday’s GH episode, Josslyn confessed that she wasn’t worried about Dex joining the PCPD anymore and offered a prediction about him officially getting in.

In Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) office, he met with Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) about a nonprofit that needed a spokesperson.

Drew thought Willow would be perfect since this particular nonprofit worked to find bone marrow donors and they were looking for someone to personalize their message.

Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) eventually walked in on the meeting, but Willow was cordial to her as she left with Michael.

Although Nina thought about calling or texting Willow after that interaction, Drew advised her to give Willow some space.

Nina brought up the idea of going after payback and mentioned Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) giving her a hard time about her maintenance issues.

Drew bickered with Nina about her putting him in prison, but she argued that Drew and Carly might’ve gotten married if he hadn’t gone to Pentonville.

In other words, Nina spared Drew the pain of getting a divorce once Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) came back in the picture.

The confrontation eventually resulted in Nina and Drew stripping down for passion once they locked the door.

Meanwhile, John Cates (Adam Harrington) talked to Carly about why she accepted Jason’s Metro Court gift.

Carly confessed that she did it for Jason since he’d been through so much and this was one thing he could actually fix.

Once Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) met up with Jason in his office, she talked about taking down Pikeman and suspected Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) was big time involved.

Although Anna knew Valentin was close to Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) in their younger years, Valentin lied and acted like she was mistaken.

Anna could tell Valentin had something to hide, but she admitted her judgment couldn’t be trusted since she viewed Valentin as a father first and a person of interest second.

Jason got updates on the story about Anna accidentally firing at Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) due to the home invasion.

Since Anna feared she was putting the entire investigation at risk due to her mixed feelings about Valentin, she needed Jason’s help.

Anna mentioned that Dex said Sonny took a shipment from Pikeman, so Jason agreed to talk to Dex – especially since he had other reasons for wanting to see him, too.

When John showed up, he wasn’t pleased to see Anna and Jason with their heads together without him.

John made it clear that Jason needed to do something about this stalled Pikeman mission and find out when they’d be moving shipments again.

If Jason didn’t follow orders, John reminded him that Carly would lose her hotel all over again since she’d be going to prison.

Once Anna was alone with John, she suspected he didn’t like himself much when he treated Jason that way.

John stood his ground since he was only focused on accomplishing the mission.

At Pentonville, Valentin met with Brennan in private, so that gave them a chance to discuss Jason and how all “Alan Jacobs” documentation looked legit.

Since this was seemingly orchestrated by someone capable of manipulating government records, Brennan assumed Jason was coerced by a certain three-letter organization – though he didn’t know if it might be the CIA, NSA or another one.

Valentin didn’t want to risk meeting in person again, but he discussed the new plan to have Jason eliminated and pin it on Sonny now that he was spinning out off his meds.

As for Anna, Brennan warned Valentin to keep his distance from her since she could connect the dots about their partnership.

Ava Jerome (Maura West) also paid a visit to Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) at Pentonville, so she told him about her evolving relationship with Sonny.

Although Ava denied being in love, Nikolas could tell that she liked being in Sonny’s circle of trust.

Ava indeed liked not having to worry about a custody battle and felt that Nina could never understand Sonny the way she did.

It was also nice to see Carly be the outsider after the way she’d treated Ava before.

After Ava confessed that she found out Sonny was only getting a quarter dose of his medication, Nikolas was shocked to learn she hadn’t told him yet.

Nik guessed Ava liked “quarter-dose Sonny” and warned her to be careful since Sonny could eventually suspect she was behind this or at least find out she withheld the truth.

Although Nikolas thought Ava was playing with fire, she insisted she was watching out for Sonny and that Nikolas shouldn’t underestimate her.

General Hospital spoilers say Ava could be headed for major trouble, so stay tuned for any bad news that might be looming!
