Matt Roloff is no stranger to visiting the doctor’s office. He was born with diastrophic dysplasia. It is degenerative dwarfism that causes someone to have short limbs and orthopedic problems. So, he had numerous surgeries on his legs as a kid. And, as he gets older, it can cause more health issues.
The Little People, Big World reality star recently went to the doctors for what he thought would be a routine upper endoscopy to check out his esophagus. However, the checkup didn’t go as planned.

Matt explains that the doctor told his fiance Caryn Chandler they had “some complications.” He later found out that he had some “unexpected twists and turns” down to his stomach. They didn’t know about the issue until they did the endoscopy.
Matt Lays Low after Health Scare
Matt admits that it was a rough week for him after the checkup. However, he did get some good news. He didn’t need to get a “computer chip and monitor installed” to monitor the issue.
But, the Little People, Big World cast member did get scary news. He was told he has to get more procedures to help fix the issue.
However, the worst news Matt got was that he couldn’t work. He had to take a few days off and “lay low.” But he is glad that the week is over and is “back in action” today.

The TLC celeb explains that it was a scary ordeal. He was still under anesthesia when “things went crazy.” Caryn was also in the waiting room when the doctor told her what was happening. He says that the news scared her “pretty good.” But he is thankfully doing well.

Matt Roloff has a lot going on. He is currently building his home on the farm. He has been sharing the progress with fans. However, he can’t wait to see what the finished product looks like, even though it may be some time before it is ready for him and Caryn Chandler to move in.
Yet, the Little People, Big World cast member does plan to take it easy a little longer. He hopes to go to his and Caryn’s home in Arizona for a relaxing trip after dealing with his health scare. He would also like to take a trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Many fans sent positive messages to the TLC celeb. One person hopes he is doing well and sending prayers and “healing protection” his way. Another person hopes he “gets better soon” so he can “get back to the farm.”
However, these fans are glad Matt is doing well and recovering. One person says that he is “an inspiration” to them. Another person feels he is a “strong guy” who can “overcome anything.” Hopefully, his health will get better.
