Amy Roloff and Chris Marek have been looking to purchase a new home. They want a place with more space. She was used to living in a big house with a big piece of property. So, moving into a smaller home was a big change for her. He also wants a change and wouldn’t mind a house surrounded by a lot of land.

The Little People, Big World reality stars visit a big home sitting on acres of land. However, the property will cost a lot to maintain. So, they felt that they were going to need to make an income from the land in order to afford it.

Chris came up with the idea of hosting weddings. However, Amy didn’t see herself starting a wedding business at this point in her life. But she is letting her husband dream big.

Chris Tells Amy Wedding Business Update

Chris liked the house he and Amy looked at. He feels that it checks a lot of the boxes they have. But he explains that the only way they could afford to live there is if they are able to generate an income on the property.

The Little People, Big World cast member tells his wife that he went to the county to find out if they could do weddings on the property they looked at. He finds out that in order to host big events, they would have to have a vineyard or a cidery.

So, if the land were a vineyard, Chris and Amy would have a lot of options for what they could do with it. However, he feels that it would be an expensive property to maintain if they aren’t able to get an income right away. Yet, he isn’t giving up on the idea.

Little People, Big World Couple Ditching Business Plan

Chris Marek and Amy Roloff visit their friend Brad, who happens to own a vineyard. They are there to ask for a donation for their fundraiser event. But, he takes the opportunity to talk about his wedding business idea.

The Little People, Big World cast member asks Brad what the start-up cost would be for someone who has three acres of land and wants to start a vineyard. His friend tells him he estimates $15,000 to $20,000 an acre. He also tells him they control the number of events they can host. He says that he can only do 12 events a year.

Chris realizes that his wedding business won’t work with that limit. Amy tells her husband she is glad he figured it out. So, they plan to stay in their house until they find the perfect home.
