Sister Wives’ Kody Brown and late son Garrison were ‘still estranged’ and ‘not speaking’ when he tragically died at 25
SISTER Wives’ Kody Brown and late son Garrison were not on speaking terms before he tragically died, The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal.
Garrison was just 25 years old when he was found dead of a suspected suicide in his Flagstaff, Arizona home on March 5.
Flagstaff Police Department confirmed to The U.S. Sun on March 5 that Garrison was found deceased of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Prior to his death, it was known to Sister Wives fans that Garrison and Kody had a tumultuous relationship for years.
“They were still estranged and sadly, never made up before Garrison died,” a source told The U.S. Sun.
“I don’t think they had even spoken since Covid times.”
The family source claimed: “I know for a fact there was no buddy/buddy hangout or friendship.
“Honestly, I can’t even remember the last time they saw each other.
“From what I know, the last time they really had an interaction was when they met up and had a big argument on camera.”
PAST RELATIONSHIP
Garrison and his brother, Gabe- the sibling who first found Garrison after his death at home- spoke about their strained relationship with their father Kody and his last-standing wife Robyn Brown in season 18 of Sister Wives.
The falling out occurred during the Covid pandemic, when the patriarch had set strict rules over his fear that the disease would be spread to him and his younger children.

A source told The U.S. Sun, “Kody pushed his family away for a very long time.
“These two boys have been the forefront of the pain.”
Back in October, The U.S. Sun reported that Gabe and Garrison “weren’t stepping down” after their big fight with their father, and “wanted nothing to do” with “villain” Robyn.
After the boys claimed they were “done” with their dad and step-mom, a source said, “They’re letting it be and just supporting Janelle.”
JANELLE’S PAIN
Garrison’s mom Janelle, 54, and Kody, 55, posted messages on social media after the heartbreaking news was made public.
“Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown,” Janelle wrote alongside two photos of Garrison.
“He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him. His loss will leave such a big hole in our lives that it takes our breath away.
“We ask that you please respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory,” she concluded her short post.
A source told The U.S. Sun about how she is “so angry and numb.”
“She’s not processed [it] clearly,” the source said of Janelle.
“She doesn’t even know which end’s up.”
“She’s very angry right now… She’s not usually a crier or an emotional person,” the insider shared.
“It takes a lot to get her to break. So I think right now she’s saying, ‘What the heck happened? What did I do wrong?'”
The entire family is “extremely broken and tortured,” and “it’s very painful for many of them.”
Tributes have been flowing in while funeral plans and arrangements have not been revealed yet by the family.
