Sister Wives’ Garrison Brown laid to rest as funeral held one week after tragic death leaving mom Janelle ‘angry & numb’
SISTER Wives star Garrison Brown has been laid to rest after his tragic death by apparent suicide last week.
The 25-year-old died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head on March 5.
Garrison was laid to rest over the weekend, according to a post by his cousin Emma Brown.
Emma shared several throwback photos of her late family member alongside a heartfelt message via her Instagram on Saturday.
She wrote, “Dear Robert, I had to dress up for your funeral today and this is everything i wish you could’ve heard before i had to say goodbye.
“We love you. I don’t even own a picture of you without your contagious smile. I don’t know if I have the right words to say I’ll miss you.
“I wish i was able to give you a hug and tell you how much you were loved. You were human, you had flaws but never once did i doubt the friendship we had,” she penned.
Emma continued, “I’ll always cherish the times i got to spend with you. We planned to go on so many backpacking trips but only made it to one.
“I’ll miss your goofy dad jokes, our coffee runs, the dinners we shared. the times we watched movies and you always let me put messy face masks all over our faces.
“You always made sure that i had ate, and made sure I knew I could always talk to you. You were a son, a brother, a soldier, and a friend. If there is a god I hope he’s giving you peace. I love you Robert,” she closed.
TRAGIC DEATH
Robert Garrison Brown was found dead last week by his brother Gabriel in his home in Tuscon, Arizona.
His mother Janelle, 54, revealed the heartbreaking news in an Instagram post on Tuesday.
“Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown,” she wrote.
“He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him.”
The reality star continued, “His loss will leave such a big hole in our lives that it takes our breath away. We ask that you please respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory.”
TLC also issued a statement to People on Tuesday, reading, “We are devastated to hear of the tragic loss of Garrison Brown.
“We extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the Brown family at this difficult time.”
A MOM’S CONCERN
Shortly after the TV personality’s death, The U.S. Sun exclusively obtained the police report detailed when Janelle arrived on the scene.
According to the documents, the mother of six commented “he just stopped texting last night.”
The report said, “Janelle also made the comment that she should have gotten Garrison help in the past as well.”
She also remarked that Garrison was “estranged from his father.”
Before his death, it was known to Sister Wives fans that Garrison and his dad Kody Brown, 55, had a tumultuous relationship for years.
Gabe told the police that his brother “had been struggling with mental health concerns and alcohol abuse.”
GARRISON’S DIFFICULTIES
In the police report, Garrison’s roommates Tyler, Cheyenne, and Addison all gave their accounts of the hours leading up to Monday night’s tragedy.
The officer wrote, “Addison stated that he has had conversations with [Garrison] about him being depressed lately.
“He stated that [Garrison] is an alcoholic and drinks every night.”
Addison said he and Garrison spoke the night before his suicide, and that Garrison had appeared to have been “intoxicated.”
Although the duo spent a lot of time together, Addison stated that nothing Garrison said ever raised a “red flag.”
The report went on to say that Addison “stated that he knew that [Garrison] was having problems with his ex-girlfriend and that he was not a very happy person.”
Garrison’s other roommate, Cheyenne, corroborated Addison’s story regarding the reality star’s struggles.
Although she and the Sister Wives star mostly knew each other in passing, she said they had been talking more often recently.
“She stated that she talked a little more in-depth with him about how he was struggling with drinking and his depression surrounding that,” the police statement read.
