At the ranch, Victoria and Claire discuss Victor going to make business calls last night after what he went through. Claire marvels at him facing down Jordan and allowing her to take him hostage. Victoria is glad Nick showed up and tased her. They agree it’s poetic justice for her to be locked up in that dungeon. Claire knows she shouldn’t care, and she doesn’t understand why she does, “But Victor wouldn’t leave her locked up in that basement indefinitely. I mean, it’s just until he can contact the authorities and they take her into custody, right?”

Victoria assures Claire her father wouldn’t leave someone to rot in a basement. Claire marvels at being a member of the Newman family. Now that Jordan isn’t creeping around anymore, they’re safe. Victoria sighs, “It’s over. It’s kind of unbelievable, isn’t it?” Claire asks if they can come and go as they please. Victoria says that’s exactly what she means. Claire asks if they could go somewhere out from under the dark cloud. “It’s been a long time. My whole life really.” Victoria thinks it’s a great idea.

At the Abbott house, Kyle and Summer have crossed nanny contender #5 off their list. Summer wishes Linda would come back. Kyle muses that they can’t expect that anytime soon. Summer wonders what they should do. They can’t just keep interviewing nanny’s with Harrison sitting there acting grumpy. Especially when he says the same thing after each one. “Why can’t mommy just come home?”

Kyle figures Harrison thinks if he rejects every nanny candidate, Summer will have no choice but to come back. He reassures him that she’ll always love him and be there for him, unfortunately, that doesn’t satisfy him. Kyle reminds their son that they both have busy careers and he needs someone to pick him up from school. Summer says they both know her moving back isn’t an option and Harrison is clearly resistant to any nannies they introduce him to. Kyle feels they can’t let him manipulate them. Summer wants to at least give the kid a vote. Kyle agrees. Just then, Harrison calls out from upstairs, “Mom!” They both go to the stairs.

Once Harrison has joined them in the living room, he tells his parents he had a bad dream that someone took him away. Summer reassures him he’s safe and asks if this is because they have to find him a new sitter. They promise to find someone really nice. Harrison pouts that if Summer can’t stay, he wants Linda or no one. Summer teases about Harrison and Kyle being equally stubborn, and they all decide to go to the bookstore and Crimson Lights for hot chocolate. “All three of us.”

At Crimson Lights, Sally apologizes to Audra for telling her to fight harder for what she already has. Audra appreciates her strong take on the mess with Tucker. Sally finds it hilarious that she’s giving relationship advice. Audra says she’s usually pretty decisive, but now she’s been going back and forth between whether to fight for Tucker or walk away, more times than she can count. Sally can relate. Audra muses that fighting for him may be the advice she needed to hear. Sally warns she’s not always right. Audra thanks her for listening. Adam comes in and is surprised to see them together. Audra and Sally tell him their conversation was long overdue… they have a lot in common.

Adam knows that Sally and Audra both got fired from Newman. Sally says they’re also both involved with complicated men who aren’t exactly popular or appreciated in Genoa City. Adam isn’t keen on being compared to Tucker McCall. Audra reiterates they’re both complicated. Adam still thinks they’re different animals. Sally reminds him he interrupted. Audra has to head back to the Athletic Club and thanks Sally for her advice as she leaves. Adam asks Sally, “So, what was the advice about?”

Sally is glad to have a new friend, but Adam warns her to proceed with caution where Audra’s concerned. Sally asks why he’d say that. Adam points out she’s probably not his biggest fan. Sally asks what that has to do with her being friends with her. Adam says she may have an agenda and asks her to be careful about sharing information that could get back to Tucker. Sally agrees, but Audra’s pretty savvy and may understand him sharing emails with the Abbotts. Her advice to Audra had nothing to do with him.

Adam switches gears. He tracked Sally down for a reason. She asks if it’s about his dad. Adam says no… he’s happy to report that he’s home. Sally asks about Connor. Adam says he and Chelsea have another session with the doctor today. He has to leave. Sally hopes it means progress and will alleviate some concerns. Adam sighs. They feel helpless. Sally says he’s doing all the right things. Adam feels increasingly overwhelmed by Connor’s diagnosis. OCD can go undiagnosed for years. He’s grateful the school caught it. He says he has to get going and Sally asks him to keep her posted. She urges him to try and stay positive. Adam thanks her for her support kisses her, and says, “I love so much that you’re back in my life.” Sally tells him that her saying “I love you” wasn’t a slip of the tongue. “I mean it. I do. I love you.” Adam does too. “Love you.” They kiss.

In the jazz lounge, Tucker pulls away from Ashley’s kiss and tells her, “This is not working.” She has to disagree — the kiss was working quite well from both sides. She keeps trying to kiss him and he tells her to stop. Tucker fumes, “Listen to me!” No matter how he looks at this, it’s problematic. Ashley can’t see the downside. Tucker tells her if she’s setting him up, he won’t fall for it. But if she’s dealing with something emotional or psychological, he’d feel remiss if he didn’t try to help her. Ashley snaps, “Maybe there’s a third option. I’m being absolutely sincere in trying to give you what you’ve said you wanted all along.” Tucker doesn’t believe her. He can’t. She’s either lying to him or to herself. He pries her hand off of his leg and leaves. Ashley’s alter takes a swig of her drink and holds her head.

In the GCAC dining room, Tucker orders a drink at the bar. Ashley watches him and smiles. Audra comes in and Ashley tells her she doesn’t have a chance. “I’ve got him right where I want him.” Audra joins Tucker after Ashley leaves and he asks what she said. “That she’s got you right where she wants you. What made her think that, Tucker?” Tucker admits she kissed him again. “And she thinks it means something.” He says whatever is going on with Ashley isn’t good. Audra asks if he returned the kiss. Tucker insists he pulled back and doesn’t want to have this conversation. He wants Audra to ignore Ashley, but she complains she’s always in her face. Tucker is sorry, and he’s sorry for storming out earlier. Audra points out if they were on their way to Paris, this wouldn’t be happening, but instead, she’s getting blindsided by his ex-wife looking pleased with herself. Tucker is trying to let all this go, “Can you?” Audra will if Ashley will. Tucker thinks she’s suffering a psychological break. “She is not herself. She needs help.”

At home, Ashley’s alter pours a scotch and grins as she thinks about making out with Tucker. Ashley’s voice rings through her head, telling her she doesn’t like this… its going to make things worse. The alter grits, “Well, I do.” She puts her hands over her ears, dropping her glass, as the voice screams, “I need to take over!”

At the GCAC bar, Audra doesn’t think Ashley is a psychological wreck — she’s reeling him back in. Tucker argues he isn’t a sucker. He can read her like a book and she needs professional help. Audra scoffs, “Based on what? Some look you saw in her eyes last night.” Tucker says she’s not the woman he fell in love with. Audra grimaces and can’t believe she let herself get into this position again. Tucker insists he adores her. What’s going on with Ashley is a completely separate issue. He tells Audra that Ashley repeated her offer to give him everything he ever wanted, all he had to do was say yes. “Where am I?” He’s with Audra. What’s going on with Ashley has nothing to do with love or romance. He wants to help someone he cares about. “I swear to God that’s all this is.” Audra thinks he really can’t see that she’s sucking him back in. Tucker denies that’s what’s happening. Audra can’t fight this. Especially when she’d be fighting all on her own. Tucker grabs her as she turns to leave. She fumes, “Let go!” and takes off.

At Crimson Lights, Kyle, Summer, and Harrison get a table. On the patio, Victoria and Claire enter. Claire assures her mother she’s ready and likes it there. Victoria wonders if she would like to meet one of her new family members. They go inside and Victoria hugs Summer before introducing her to “her daughter Claire”. She explains that Summer is Nick’s daughter. Summer says this is a miracle and must be overwhelming for Claire. “Welcome to the family, Cuz.” Claire beams, “Thank you, Cuz.” Summer introduces her to Harrison, warning he’s not in a great mood today. Claire gets him smiling as she talks about his drawing of a duck and makes jokes. Victoria tells Claire she has a way with children as Kyle joins them. Introductions are made. Kyle’s glad to meet someone who can make his son smile.

They all sit down and Kyle marvels at Summer and Claire being cousins, yet never knowing the other existed. Harrison gives Claire a drawing and then takes off to the patio to hug Ashley when she comes in. Kyle frowns when Ashley asks, “What grade are you in?” Ashley says she has to grab a drink and run. Kyle stands there frowning.

In her suite, Audra slams her clothes into the wardrobe. A knock comes at the door. She looks through the peephole and says, “Go away.” Tucker says he has one question to ask her. It’s crucial. She cracks the door and he says, “You said that you’re done with me. I just want to know what you mean by that exactly. Are you done with everything, or just me?” He asks about Glissade. “I hope we’re not going to let Ashley ruin that for us too.”
