For the week of March 18 – March 22, on The Young and the Restless, spoilers tease a big bust of a plan and someone putting all the blame on themselves. Also, look for Y&R pre-emptions on Thursday and Friday. In its place? March Madness.

More March Madness

Forget about basketball, March Madness is about to include more of Jordan’s (Colleen Zenk — refresh your memory on the zap heard around the world) insanity. But before she enters the picture, it all starts with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), who makes a big, shocking ask of Victor (Eric Braeden).

Next thing you know, Nikki’s plan of revenge against Jordan backfires. Exactly what does “backfire” mean in this case? Jordan is missing in action and will be back to wreak havoc again — that kind of backfired? Oh, this isn’t good…at least for the Newmans.

Family Unity

Meanwhile, there’s good news and bad news for Claire (Hayley Erin). The good news: as she struggles to connect with her family the Newmans continue to support her.

The bad news? She might have a new rival in Summer (Allison Lanier). Look for Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) daughter to challenge Claire in Monday’s episode. How will Claire respond? Will the claws come out or will she let the emotions simmer until further notice?

Odds and Ends

Billy (Jason Thompson) has a troubling encounter with Ashley (Eileen Davidson). Will he be the one to realize something is seriously wrong with her?

In an interesting development, Victor tests Nick and Summer’s loyalty. What is the reason for this latest challenge?

Finally, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan — who reveals a recent personal loss here) blames herself for her son’s mental health issues. Will her concerns about Connor (Judah Mackey) cause her to spiral or even regress after all the work she’s done on herself?
