In the waiting room at Connor’s appointment, Adam and Chelsea work to get him to speak. He says he hates this; he hates the doctor, he hates being there, and he hates himself. Chelsea gasps. It hurts her heart to hear him say that. He’s the most loveable boy in the world. Adam says that goes for him mom and him. Adam hopes he didn’t mean what he said; sometimes they say things when they’re angry or frustrated. “Connor, believe me. I know how you feel. There’s been a lot of times in my life that I’ve been angry or frustrated because things aren’t the way that I want them to be and there’s nothing I can do about it.” Things got better for him, and they’re going to get better for Connor too. He understands why the boy doesn’t want to be there, but it will help him. It will help all of them. They’ll get through it together.

Adam and Chelsea step aside and she complains that she’s tried to reassure Connor that these sessions will help, but he won’t listen to her. Connor snarks, “I can hear you.” Adam says they’re not hiding anything from him. Connor wants to leave since the doctor’s questions won’t help. Adam thinks maybe they should cancel the session. Chelsea says no, it would set a precedent. They all need this, now, not later. Just then, the doctor appears. Connor pleads with his parents, but Chelsea tells him it’s too important. Adam sides with her and tells the doctor he’ll be joining the session today. Connor needs both parents there.

Billy asks if Tucker is fully and completely out of her system. She claims he’s a jerk and she’s over him. Billy senses she had something more to add. Ashley repeats that she’s over Tucker. He’s gross. The family is over Tucker too. Billy knows it’s been more challenging for her to move on. Ashley insists she did it. Billy asks, “Ash, what’s going on? You don’t really sound like yourself.” Ashley wonders who she sounds like then. Billy tells her, “You don’t have to cover up for me.” He isn’t buying that all the sudden she’s fine, and she’s never called him ‘Bro’ in her entire life. Ashley says she was trying to be cool. Billy gets a text from Devon about a board meeting and says he has to go. He shares that things are tense over there right now. Ashley nods that corporate infighting is very bad for the corporation. She advises him to stay out of the boxing ring. Billy asks again, “Are you OK?” Ashley snaps at him to stop worrying about her. Billy frowns and leaves. Ashley orders a ginger ale with a cherry from the bartender and whispers, “Boy, that was a close one.”

Nikki can only imagine how desperate Jordan must feel, being locked up in a room and cut off from the rest of the world. She lived it thanks to her, and now Jordan is living it thanks to Victor. The Mustache grunts about the sick woman torturing people she considers her enemies. This is poetic justice. Nikki says prison is too good for her. Victor agrees, “Much too good.” Nikki asks, “That’s still your plan, right?” Victor confirms that she’ll pay. Nikki tells him that before the authorities arrest her, she wants to see her again. Victor deems this ridiculous, but Nikki wants to confront her face-to-face. Victor thinks it’s a horrible idea. Nikki wants to confront her in a place where she knows she will feel completely at her mercy, the same way she did to her. She’s locked up and can’t do anything to hurt her. Victor asks what the purpose of this is, and Nikki promises she won’t strangle her. Victor worries this would be a trigger for her to start drinking again. Nikki argues it’s a chance for her to reclaim her power. “I need to do it.”

Kyle asks about the person who did this. Victoria says that person doesn’t deserve anymore of their attention. Kyle asks about Claire’s release from the hospital. Claire says their family has been so supportive. Summer gets the feeling there’s more to the story. Victoria tells her there are specifics they should save for another time. In Connor’s session, he tells the doctor that he doesn’t want to be there. Chelsea and Adam urge him to share what he said in the waiting room. He plays with his hoodie strings and Cheslea asks him to stop. Connor snaps that they just don’t get it. The doctor explains the behavior is a manifestation of his OCD. Adam wants to know what tools will help them. The doctor knows they’re anxious to help their son, but they need to set expectations. There is no miracle cure. Adam sighs. If nothing can be done for Connor, what are they even doing there? The doctor explains that they bring the symptoms under control so they’re manageable. One of the best forms of treatment is residential therapy. He’ll have therapy and confront the obsessions that trigger him. She talks about response prevention, saying it retrains the brain. The therapist will coach Connor through it. It’s done in the same type of school he’s already in. Connor interjects that it’s not a school… it’s a hospital for sick people.

In the waiting room, Chelsea asks if Connor’s OK. He doesn’t want to go to the place; it’s like admitting he’s crazy or something. Chelsea explains the OCD is separate from him; they just have to learn how to treat it and manage it. It’s an illness. Last year, she went someplace to get extra help. They need these thoughts to back off and leave him alone. Adam takes Connor out of the waiting room, and Chelsea goes back into the doctor’s office to say she has a lot of questions. The doctor is there to help all of them. Chelsea cries, “I want to talk about myself, because I’m not sure I’m going to be able to deal with this.”

Kyle, Summer, and Harrison arrive at the Abbott mansion and the boy asks when he can see the “funny” Claire again. Kyle and Summer exchange a look. Harrison gets sent upstairs and Kyle and Summer discuss what a relief it is to see him smile. Kyle thinks it’s quite a coincidence that Claire was so good with him and wants to work with kids. Summer cautions that it sounds like she has to build her life up from scratch. Kyle thinks they should consider her as a potential nanny for Harrison. Maybe she’ll do it temporarily. Summer questions what they even know about her. She won’t have formal training or references. Kyle points out she’s bonded with Victoria and she has a solid resume as an executive. They agree to ask Nikki and go from there. Summer warns trusting someone in an office is different than trusting them with your kid. Kyle gets the feeling there’s more to Claire’s story than Victoria was willing to share. Summer got that feeling too — if you can’t talk about it in front of a kid, then it’s got to be messy. What if it’s so bad, they’re not willing to talk about it at all?

More importantly, Ashley needs me.” Ashley hisses, “No. I’ve got this.” She texts Tucker, “Forget everything. I don’t ever want to see you again.” She then grabs the cherry out of her drink and eats it.
