The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will continue to spin out thanks to her dissociative identity disorder. Ashley isn’t in her right mind, so that’s caused multiple alters to come out to play.

“Ash” is the childish alternate personality who seems more interested in binge-watching sitcoms than actually dealing with Ashley’s problems. It’s “Ms. Abbott” who’s been running the show for the most part.

However, we know there’s another alter who’ll bubble up to the surface sooner or later, so there’ll be plenty of paths to drama.

Ashley is unwell and will inevitably make moves that are increasingly out of character.

In fact, Ashley could get downright dangerous depending on how the next phase of her storyline goes down.

Y&R spoilers say an intervention is ahead for Ashley, which will cause “Ms. Abbott” to lash out against Ashley’s concerned siblings.

There’s no guarantee an intervention will be enough to stop whatever “Ms. Abbott” tries to set in motion.

It might even lead to a situation where that third alter we mentioned takes over – and she could be the scariest one of all!

After that intervention, Ashley’s alternate personality might decide she needs to step up her game while she still can.

“Ms. Abbott” or the new alter might be concerned about missing her window of opportunity to go after Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John).

What happens if someone gets in Ashley’s way while she’s not herself?

Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) might be a good choice considering her marriage to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and complex past with Ashley.

Let’s consider a potential hint from Susan Walters in a recent interview with SOD. It could point to a faceoff between Diane and Ashley of some sort.

“Ashley is not going to be won over by Diane anytime soon, which is kind of interesting because the storyline coming up requires Diane to have a lot of empathy and compassion for Ashley, but it’s extremely tempered by their history,” Walters admitted.

If Diane becomes a victim of Ashley in her mentally ill state, that might be a reason for Diane to have compassion and still be a little bitter considering their past feud.

Regardless, it’s easy to imagine some scenario where Ashley perhaps knocks Diane unconscious or something along those lines.

Ashley’s alter may make Diane a victim if she gets in the way when the worst of Ashley’s spinout is happening.
