Here’s How Nikki Could Rescue Jordan On Y&R

Will Victor admit he’s the one at fault?

The Young and the Restless Jordan and Nikki with the Soap Hub logo.Jordan may have an unlikely rescuer in Nikki.

On The Young and the Restless, Victor thinks he’s created the perfect plan to do away with Jordan by holding her in his wine cellar jail cell while telling everyone she died trying to escape. However, an intriguing theory is making the rounds of Xwitter that we are absolutely on board with, and we can’t wait to see if it plays out. It would be the ultimate case of poetic justice, not just for Jordan but for Nikki and Victor, as well.

You Reap What You Sow

Victor (Eric Braeden) originally built his wine cellar prison for Michael, the man his then-wife, Julia (Meg Bennet, who passed away recently), was cheating on Victor with. When Sharon (Sharon Case) burned the entire house down, Victor rebuilt it…complete with a wine cellar prison. You never know when one of those might come in handy again. So now he’s using it to imprison the sister of the woman he didn’t marry, even though, for years, he believed he’d fathered her son. (That would be Cole [J.Eddie Peck]. You can imagine the wackiness that ensued when Cole and Victoria [then-Heather Tom] first started dating.)

Victor figures Jordan (Colleen Zenk) will never be found since it would seem Victor is the only one who ever ventures down there for a bottle of wine. (Guess even the staff isn’t allowed. And certainly, recovering alcoholic Nikki [Melody Thomas Scott] would never have a reason to pop in.)

The Times They Are A-Changing

Except that Nikki has fallen off the wagon. She’s been sneaking drinks in secret for weeks. Sure, vodka is her poison of choice. But it isn’t always available. What if she can’t get to the store, and she’s exhausted what’s available at the bar?

What do you think? Post a comment!

Wouldn’t it be logical for her to hit the wine cellar? After all, it’s not like Victor forbade her. This is a Bluebird situation. It’s just a bit of emotional abuse and gaslighting. And Nikki is totes used to that by now.

Isn’t It Ironic?

How delicious would it be if…Jordan shoving Nikki back into alcoholism is what prompts her to go downstairs, which is what leads to Nikki finding Jordan? Victor would be furious! Jordan would feel victorious! But the big question is: What will Nikki do now that she has a second chance to get rid of her nemesis…once and for all? Will she allow her to live a second time? And how will that affect finding Claire (Hayley Erin)?
