The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) may get his wish – just not in the way he expected! Y&R fans know Kyle has had his eye on the co-CEO seat at Jabot for quite some time, but he’s currently stuck in the COO spot instead.

That’s led to tension with Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) since Kyle thinks he could be doing her job better.

Kyle has even been contemplating whether to walk away from the company or fight for the position he really wants.

However, everything could change due to Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) relapse in the May 2 episode.

Since Jack’s wild night with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) resulted in him popping pills again, there’s no guarantee Jack will be able to stop.

Although Jack is used to being strong for his family and staying cool whenever a crisis strikes, it seems like bottling up his emotions has taken a toll.

Jack is under much more stress than anyone realized, so something has to change.

Could Jack decide to step down at Jabot – at least temporarily?

Jack might need a chance to find stable ground again and deal with his pill cravings if they come back in full force.

Perhaps Jack could turn to Kyle for help and pitch the idea of an emergency promotion.

Kyle might become Diane’s Co-CEO while Jack tries to get a grip on his life now that it’s spiraling out of control.

Of course, that could give Kyle more power, but it could also lead to even more clashing with Diane.

Kyle might feel like he can start overriding Diane on things and add to the hostility at the office.

There’s also the matter of what might happen when Jack decides he’s ready to return to the helm.

Kyle could try to push Diane down to the COO spot and stay on as Jack’s co-CEO – just like he always wanted.

Regardless, our predictions point to some potential corporate shakeups at Jabot, so Jack could announce some major news soon.
