The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) may find it tougher than he thought to resist temptation. Jack recently took pills again in an effort to shock Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) into sobriety, which worked since she decided to head to rehab.

However, Jack did that at a great personal cost since he threw his own sobriety right out the window.

Now that Jack’s had a little taste of those pills he used to be hooked on, Y&R spoilers say he may struggle to stop popping them.

Jack still has his old dealer’s number since that’s the person he called for the bag that was delivered.

It’ll be easy for Jack to get back in touch for more opioids if his craving proves too strong to fight.

This storyline presents an interesting opportunity since Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) played a huge role in helping Jack tackle his pill addiction in the past.

Could Phyllis become the one to help Jack once again?

Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) will rip into Jack after he confesses his relapse for Nikki’s sake, so that’ll set up some tension in their marriage.

It could also create a bit of a barrier that leaves Jack hesitant to confide his struggles moving forward.

Jack may end up feeling more comfortable confiding in Phyllis instead if his addiction takes over his life.

Phyllis may find Jack in distress and become the character who helps him regain control.

Of course, that could also set the stage for Jack and Phyllis to reconnect romantically. Phyllis could strengthen her bond with Jack and feel some familiar sparks with him in time.

Will Jack ultimately cheat on Diane with Phyllis? Even if Jack simply leans on Phyllis platonically, that may prove hurtful to Diane and damage their relationship.
