The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) isn’t shy about speaking his mind on social media, even if it means criticizing the show sometimes. Braeden tells it like it is – and that’s why his followers love hearing from him so much!

On X, formerly known as Twitter, Braeden recently commented on an old clip posted by a fan.

Someone shared a 2011 scene, which involved Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) interrupting Victor and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) while they were on a date.

Since Eric Braeden was tagged in the post, he couldn’t resist weighing in on the story itself. Braeden made it crystal clear that he wasn’t on board with how things played out.

“One of the most badly executed storylines, EVER!!” Braeden said in his reply to that post.

Of course, it didn’t take long for plenty of Y&R viewers to pipe up in agreement.

The Victor and Sharon pairing certainly wasn’t well-liked, so it’s no surprise that other fans supported Braeden’s disdain for the story.

Now Victor is thankfully all in on Nikki and their own future together – though things aren’t ideal at the moment since Nikki’s off at rehab.

Nikki needs a chance to fully immerse herself in her treatment and really focus on her recovery.

However, Nikki will come home sooner or later and hopefully make her sobriety stick this time around.

Jordan (Colleen Zenk) started this mess by forcing Nikki off the wagon, but maybe Nikki can truly put this drunken chapter behind her.

That said, more drama could be looming due to the secrets Victor’s keeping about Jordan’s survival and time in captivity.

There’s also the matter of Victor’s fury toward Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), who terrified Nikki into rehab by passing out on pills and booze in her presence.

If Nikki comes back to find Victor targeting Jack and reigniting their rivalry, that news could cause marriage issues.

Regardless, it sounds like Eric Braeden would root for just about any storyline over the one Y&R told when Victor was paired up with Sharon!
