For years, TLC fans bashed 7 Little Johnstons star Amber Johnston for treating some kids better than others. In the current season of the show, it becomes obvious that Alex is given some favoritism, and of course, there’s Anna Johnston who could never do anything right, it seemed. So fans tore into the mom of two biological and three adopted kids.

TLC Star Amber Johnston Was Bashed In The Past

Over the years, TLC fans bashed Trent and his wife for being too controlling. However, they seemed more controlling with some kids than others. Jonah finally showed them up for their criticism when he landed a job as a car salesperson. He did so well that his dad followed him into the industry. Anna was always considered the problem child no matter what she did, but Elizabeth “Liz” Johnston seemed like the golden girl.

7 Little Johnstons fans saw how hard Amber Johnston was with Anna when she wanted to move into her own place. Even her daughter said that it didn’t seem fair because whatever Liz did was too wonderful for words. Before Liz moved out, she and her mom couldn’t stop talking about it. But, the unequal treatment had been evident to fans for years.

Liz And Anna Johnston Get Treated Differently

After the premiere of 7 Little Johnstons, an OP on Reddit went on a long rant about the way Liz still seems to get preferential treatment over Anna by their mom. In part, they said:

Is it me or is clear how Amber doesn’t have much excitement or enthusiasm whenever she’s talking about Anna….Anna is always downplayed and Amber talks as if [her achievements are] not a big deal. Anna accomplished her goal with her new home and has her life figured out…[Liz] is smart and all but why doesn’t Amber praise Anna that same way?…I also don’t like watching how much they favour certain kids. I always feel bad for Anna…It would be…wholesome to see Amber do something to celebrate Anna’s accomplishments.

TLC fans quickly took the comments and the discussion revealed that most people support Anna.

• Because Anna is what Amber wanted Elizabeth to be. And i think deep down Amber favors Elizabeth because thats her biological daughter. Idc if i get downvoted but thats what it is. She wanted Elizabeth to be exemplary to the rest but it’s Anna. Anna overcame struggles and still ended up successful with a house and stable job.
• You’re right!!!! And if Anna had been the one pregnant Lord only knows how Amber would have treated her. She definitely wouldn’t have had as much seemingly initial support as Liz received.
• I’ve always felt so bad for Anna! It’s so obvious how Amber feels about her, and if you’ve watched previous seasons they’ve all treated her badly! Amber’s face can’t hide it, and she probably despises how much hate she gets and how much love Anna gets online! I’m so proud of Anna, and so sick of how they baby Jonah and Alex!!
