The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Carter & Steffy’s Romantic Twist – The Sympathy Sparks That Really Need to Fly?

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that with Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) marriage in such turmoil, it’s probably just a matter of time until Steffy’s leaning on another man.

Of course, it seems likely that man will be Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), who’s been waiting for an opportunity like this to come along.

Liam has made it clear that he’s not ready to give up on Steffy and their chance at a future together.

Once Liam gets updates on Finn and Steffy’s latest round of marriage drama, he’ll no doubt pounce on Steffy and try to score the reunion he’s been hoping for.

However, many fans have grown tired of Liam and Steffy’s pairing getting rebooted, especially since he’s never been able to stay loyal to her.

Liam is a waffler to the core, so what reason do viewers have to root for his reunion with Steffy?

It’s only going to end in Steffy and Liam’s destruction again if they actually get back together, so it just feels like a giant waste of time.

We can think of another marriage interloper that would shake things up and make sense under the circumstances.

The sympathy sparks that really need to fly are ones between Steffy and Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor)!

It’d be easy for Carter to comfort Steffy and create an unexpected attraction between them.

Carter is in a relationship with Katie Logan (Heather Tom), but it doesn’t play out on-screen very often and clearly isn’t important to the show.

Maybe Carter would be better off with a key player like Steffy who’s currently at the center of the action.

Plenty of fans on social media have always hoped for a Steffy and Carter pairing, so this would be an excellent chance for something to happen between them.

Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) would probably be first in line to sign up for a Carter and Steffy shipper card under the circumstances!

Finn’s defense of Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) isn’t going over well at all, so Ridge might find himself rooting for Finn and Steffy’s breakup.

Ridge considers Carter to be one of his best friends, so he’d likely get behind the idea of a Carter and Steffy pairing now that Finn’s behaving this way.

Eric Forrester (John McCook) might be torn since Finn saved his life, but he’s also quite close to Carter and probably wouldn’t mind the thought of him romancing Steffy.

It’d be something different than Liam’s usual flip-flopper antics – not to mention it’d create a lot of new angles to work.

If Steffy leaned on Carter instead of Liam, it could send Katie in another romantic direction of her own – perhaps one that’d involve a Katie, Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) and Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park) love triangle.

Naturally, B&B writers tend to repeat history when it comes to Steffy and Liam, so Liam remains the most likely love interest option if she drifts away from Finn.

Even so, it doesn’t hurt to speculate about other options that’d be more interesting, so how would you feel about a Steffy and Carter romance instead?
