The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that the show brought back a familiar face at an interesting time. B&B fans may recognize Carl Ferret (Sean Whalen), who used to work in the hospital lab and has been tangled up in some paternity scandals before.

Now Carl works at the crematorium and was responsible for the embalming of Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) lookalike.

Doesn’t it seem suspicious that Carl returned for this when the show could’ve just cast someone new as a crematorium employee?

It feels like they have plans to use Carl Ferret as a bigger part of this Sheila storyline. Considering Carl’s history of getting involved in messy situations, perhaps he’s involved in another one.

Carl seemed shocked over Deacon Sharpe’s (Sean Kanan) reaction to that 10-toed corpse, but what if he was just playing dumb?

Maybe Carl was mostly nervous about Deacon’s discovery and that’s the real reason he acted so freaked out.

Carl left the room to get an agitated Deacon some water in the April 8 episode, but what if he made a phone call while he was gone?

Since someone called Carl later in the show, the mystery caller could’ve been phoning him back.

Carl insisted he had to take the call and left the room once again, so that raised even more suspicions about his hidden agenda.

It’s possible that Carl is in on Sheila’s scheme, especially if she managed to charm him into thinking she’s attracted to him.

Blackmail might even be involved since Sheila would certainly be willing to go there.

However, it’s also possible Carl is obsessed with Sheila and holding her hostage.

Maybe Carl was even in cahoots with Sugar, Sheila’s old lookalike who’s suspected of being the one who was just cremated.

In that case, Carl might have someone babysitting captive Sheila and checking on her from time to time while he’s at work.

There could’ve been some Sheila-related crisis that pulled Carl away from Deacon – or Carl might’ve at least feared disaster based on the number that was calling.

Regardless, it’s intriguing that B&B brought shady Carl Ferret back for this story, particularly when he’s taking mysterious phone calls and happens to be the one who did the lookalike’s embalming.
