Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, April 23, reveals that Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) confronted Sloan Petersen-Brady (Jessica Serfaty) since he felt like she was the person on the other end of Leo Stark’s (Greg Rikaart) phone call.

Eric recalled how Leo said he’d work every angle to make this happen, so Sloan admitted she was trying to get Leo to put in a good word for Eric’s new job.

Sloan acted like Leo owed her for going above and beyond as his attorney.

Eric eventually returned to their budget issues since Sloan just manipulated the numbers to make them work.

After Eric voiced his suspicions about Sloan having a shopping or gambling addiction, Sloan shut down those ideas and claimed he was being ridiculous.

Sloan finally blamed everything on Eric pretending he wanted to work when he really wanted to stay home all day with the baby.

After Sloan ranted about all the expenses she was paying for, she suggested Eric was protecting his financial anxieties onto her.

Eric warned Sloan not to play the martyr here, so Sloan said she was taking a walk with Jude Brady before she said something as hurtful as Eric just did.

Once Eric was alone, he got the mail and opened a past due notice addressed to Sloan.

Eric noticed there were reoccurring daily charges for the Salem Inn, so he struggled to make sense of what was going on.

At the DiMera mansion on Tuesday’s Days episode, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) thought Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) was trying to find out where the bodies were buried by pumping him for info about his deal with Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash).

After EJ made it clear that Kristen wasn’t getting anything, he had to head off in a hurry since he was juggling both DA duties and handling things at DiMera Enterprises.

In the town square on Tuesday’s Days episode, Nicole DiMera (Arianne Zucker) gave Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) her phone back and hoped her daughter would use this opportunity to build some trust.

Sophia (Madelyn Kientz) came running over and expressed how glad she was to have her bestie back at school before Holly dragged her off to the pub for study time as well as coffee.

Inside the pub, Tate Black (Leo Howard) put on an apron and filled in for someone who had called in sick.

Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) worried about Tate being late for school, but Tate assured him that he wouldn’t be.

Tate sent Brady off with a scone for Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater) since Brady was on his way to pick her up.

Once Sophia and Holly sat down, Tate stuck a note to Holly’s menu and got her smiling.

While Sophia was in the restroom, Holly admitted she was keeping her BFF out of the loop on their secret romance because Sophia told her mom everything.

Sophia was clearly attracted to Tate and called him a snack in front of Holly.

After Sophia checked to make sure Holly was totally over Tate, Holly lied that she was never really interested in the first place.

There was also some talk about prom before Holly and Sophia headed out.

Tate noticed Holly left her notebook behind and was out of breath when he finally caught up with the girls in the park.

Sophia seemed impressed and perhaps a bit suspicious over Tate’s effort to return Holly’s notebook before class.

Back with Nicole on Tuesday’s Days episode, she met up with EJ and expressed concern over his workload.

Nicole also wanted a job for herself, so EJ seemed uneasy about that at first.

However, Nicole assured EJ that she wasn’t thinking of going back to Basic Black, which would be DiMera’s direct competitor.

That said, Nicole admitted she had some other job ideas.

Once Sloan made it to the town square with Jude’s stroller, she ran into EJ alone later and quizzed him about his deal with Stefan.

EJ made it clear that Sloan should stay out of his family’s business.

At the DiMera mansion on Tuesday’s DOOL show, Brady arrived to pick Rachel up for school, but Kristen said she sent Rachel off with a driver for some early-start art class she was interested in.

Brady said he could pick Rachel up from school instead, but Kristen pointed out that Rachel had tutoring.

After Brady complained that he was just now hearing about the math tutor, Kristen acted like she’d already told Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) and that he was very supportive.

Kristen also said Alex and Rachel were two peas in a pod, but Brady doubted that and suggested he’d get the truth from Rachel when he saw her.

Brady also ran into Nicole on the way out, so she hoped they could get their friendship back on track one day.

After Brady suggested being friends now and always, he said he understood that kids like Holly make mistakes.

At home, Alex was frustrated over the press announcement about Bella shutting down again since it wasn’t at all what he approved.

When Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien) appeared wearing a revealing workout outfit, that suddenly got Alex’s attention.

Talk turned to Theresa maybe starting a vlog or finding some other career path that was right for her.

Theresa also leaked Konstantin Meleounis (John Kapelos) and Maggie Kiriakis’ (Susanne Rogers) engagement news, so Alex offered a prediction on Konstantin being a conman and worried about Victor Kiriakis’ (John Aniston) fortune being accessible soon.

After Theresa saw that Alex was getting all worked up, she gave him a massage that left him looking like he wanted to kiss her.

Theresa suddenly burst Alex’s bubble by taking off for her workout, so he said he was going to shower and seemed like he needed a cold one!
