General Hospital Spoilers: Carly Breaks Through Jason’s Programming – The One Who Snaps ‘Stone Cold’ Out of It?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) used to be loyal to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his loved ones above all else, so the show will have to provide some answers for the changes in his character.

It looks like Jason is indeed the one who’s fired at Sonny multiple times – including on the island where Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) could’ve been at risk.

Jason clearly doesn’t care about anything except this anti-mob mission, so that seemingly proves that he’s been programmed somehow.

There has to be some level of brainwashing going on, so that’ll be important moving forward.

Of course, it’s possible Jason’s new boss is able to turn that programming off and on like a switch, but Jason clearly isn’t in control of his own actions.

At some point, there may have to be a breakthrough that gives Jason back some power over his own mind and body.

Whenever a soap character is under mind control, they often need someone who can snap them out of it and bring them back to the person they used to be.

If Jason needs someone who give him that breakthrough, which character will pull it off?

Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) is an option since she had a powerful love story with Jason once upon a time.

Jason and Sam could be poised to reunite romantically down the road, so Sam helping the real Jason come back could be part of that.

However, Jason also has a deep connection with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), the BFF he fell for and was prepared to build a married life with until Sonny returned from Nixon Falls.

Since ABC’s GH is obviously pretty Carly-centric most days, we won’t be surprised if it’s Carly who’s able to break through Jason’s programming at a critical moment.

There’s no denying that it’d bring some good drama, especially since Carly and Jason’s connection would be on full display to characters like Sam, Sonny and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).

Carly and Drew have been dealing with some relationship hurdles lately due to his Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) vendetta, but their next obstacle might be her lingering bond with Jason – which is far stronger than anything she’s ever felt with Drew!
