General Hospital Recap: Thursday, March 7 – John Arrests Maxie & Spinelli – Sonny Doubts Jason’s Guilt

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, March 7, reveals that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) joined Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) at the Quartermaine mansion, where he was in over his head trying to deal with Rocco Falconeri (Finn Francis Carr) and Danny Morgan (Asher Jared Antonyzyn).

The boys had a tiff over Danny’s videogame system, but Danny admitted it was really about Rocco just wanting his dad to be OK.

Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) was still in surgery, but Sam got a call from Drew and sent Laura Collins (Genie Francis) to help him.

Laura had a sweet conversation with Rocco, which involved her confession about being an expert on Super Mario Brothers.

Although Laura was honest about Dante having a fight on his hands, she urged Rocco to keep hope alive and planned to play videogames with Rocco and Dante once he was recovered.

Carly also had a chat with Danny and acknowledged that he was a lot like Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), who felt things deeply even if he held back on showing those feelings to protect himself or others.

Rocco turned down the chance to spend the night at Laura’s place since he wanted to be there in case Scout Cain (Cosette Abinante) had a bad dream.

Danny and Rocco wound up leaning against each other on the sofa, so they silently supported each other.

At GH, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) was spooked over what could happen to Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) after witnessing Dante’s ordeal.

Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) said her marriage to Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) failed in part because she compartmentalized her job, so she urged Brook Lynn to communicate with Chase and be honest.

Chase spoke to Brook Lynn alone and gave her an out since she didn’t sign up for the cop life like he did.

Brook Lynn admitted how terrified she was, but she also made it clear to Chase that she was committed and loved him enough to confess her fear of losing him.

After Brook Lynn warned Chase not to tell her to go, he promised he wouldn’t and embraced her.

Portia eventually delivered good news to Sam and Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) since Dante survived the surgery.

Dante was in critical condition and had been placed in the ICU, but Portia still seemed hopeful about his first recovery step.

In the chapel, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) thought maybe the footage had been manipulated and struggled to believe it was really Jason in the picture.

Ava Jerome (Maura West) insisted Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) confirmed it and pushed Sonny to consider the possibility that Jason had survived and turned against him.

Sonny felt that Ava didn’t know Jason like he did and just couldn’t believe Jason would do that.

Ava finally agreed to trust Sonny’s judgement, but he admitted he didn’t say he trusted Jason 100 percent.

After Ava urged Sonny to be careful, he seemed surprised over her caring about him.

Ava acknowledged that she’d always care about Avery Corinthos’ (Ava and Grace Scaola) father, but something more seemed to be happening between them.

Sonny seemed amused at the thought of only being able to trust Ava right now and moved in close for a spark-filled moment.

Next, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) reeled as Spinelli showed her Jason in the surveillance footage.

John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington) arrived with a search warrant, but Spinelli suddenly had no footage to offer and showed off a black screen.

Agent Cates assumed Spinelli had activated a kill switch and wound up arresting Spinelli along with Maxie for obstruction of justice.

Once they were in handcuffs, Maxie mentioned the fact that Mac Scorpio (John J. York) was her stepdad and tried to get them off the hook.

That plan didn’t work – and Maxie also let something slip about Spinelli needing to protect a close friend.

Since John was determined to throw Maxie and Spinelli in jail, Spinelli came clean about the backup footage and how to access it.

Maxie thought it was cute when Spinelli confessed that the password was “Maximista.”

Once John had the footage and let them out of their handcuffs, Spinelli assured Maxie that he couldn’t let the woman he loves land behind bars.

Maxie planted a big kiss on Spinelli to show her own love and gratitude.

Elsewhere, John looked at the pic of Jason from the footage and was determined to go after him.

General Hospital spoilers say Jason definitely has a target on his back at this point, so stick with us for updates on how he’ll wiggle out of this mess.
