General Hospital spoilers report Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is in a rather precarious position. Even if he wanted to tell Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) the truth and run back to be by his side, he can’t right now.

He’s trapped under the thumb of Federal Agent John ‘Jagger’ Cates (Adam Harrington), and following orders likely to keep someone else safe.

Likewise, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) has recently turned on Sonny, and that’s going to leave him with few allies to rely on as one crisis after the next continues to pummel him and his organized crime empire.

Rumor has it Dex will be scooped up by Jagger and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) to infiltrate Sonny’s organization, but will the transaction really be that seamless?

General Hospital Spoilers — Dex to the Rescue?

It’s going to look like Dex is back in the running as Sonny’s right-hand man, but all is not as it seems. Initially, Sonny may be duped all over again and believe Dex is genuine about helping him. After all, he came back didn’t he?

He helped to save Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) life. He can’t be all bad. Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) have both vouched for him.

Sonny may be desperate enough to let Dex back into his orbit, but that doesn’t mean he won’t be watching him like a hawk or that he won’t soon become aware of what Dex is really up to.

GH Spoilers Tease Carly is Always in Sonny’s Corner

Carly and Sonny may be on the outs right now, but she’s always been there anytime he has needed her. As he becomes more desperate to have support around him, he may be forced to forgive Carly and lean on her in his time of need.

She’s the only person who can potentially run the business the way he has — even if she doesn’t have Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) propping her up to do it this time around.

As the authorities continue to dig for dirt to put Sonny away — and a mystery enemy digs in the dirt to put Sonny six feet in the ground — Carly could become the heir to his throne in waiting.

Of course, being in the mafia is the last thing Carly ever wanted for herself. She took up the mantle when Sonny “died” because she needed to protect her family.

She would do it again in a heartbeat if she had to, but Michael doesn’t want to see her mother give up on her own future again to clean up Sonny’s mess.

Willing to take it on himself, we could see the good-hearted boy who never wanted to be like his father rise up to stand beside him as the feds try to take him down.
