Things are getting interesting in Port Charles and ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers are loving some of the new dynamics the writers are brought to the table.

While the new writers are failing more than not in many eyes, they have brought us some engaging interactions and we’re adding Ava Jerome (Maura West) to that short list.

Since she’s been staying with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) for her protection, there’s been a dynamic at play that’s been subtle but has now been amped up.

For the longest time, Ava was Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros)’s best friend and confidant as she attempted to help Nina get Sonny back but that’s changes now, and it should prove interesting.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Change of focus

Early on, ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers wondered if they were going to shift Ava’s character and have her get back together with Sonny, and that definitely looks like the plan now.

In fact, she’s become more diabolical and controlling, like when she hid Sonny’s phone when Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero) texted him about Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) being awake.

She told him instead that she called the hospital and found out Dante was awake, and we think that was a pretty obvious move on her part to get closer with Sonny.

There’s a chance it wasn’t duplicitous on her part. Maybe she didn’t trust the text and did call to make sure so he wouldn’t run out into an ambush.

Anything’s possible, and with the storylines and characters shifting by the day as continuity is thrown out the window, we can’t discount anything.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Ava wants to take over?

As much as we’d love to see Ava and Sonny as a team, we’re getting the feeling that Ava may be looking for more than that.

She’ll be happy being his wife with the money and power and she does care for him, but it seems like she’s more ruthless now and that could lead her to wanting to take over in time.

With everyone aggressively turning on Sonny and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) ready to look like the hero that saves him and blames it all on Ava, things are going to get choppy at best.

With that in mind, we’re not so sure she wants to take over, but it definitely looks like she’s going to sacrifice her relationship with Nina to move up in the world, and that’s going to ruffle some feathers.
