General Hospital spoilers claim Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has never had a shortage of women to pick from in his life.
In fact, it’s been rather surprising that he hasn’t sought one out already since Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) has been exiled from his penthouse and heart for months.
While it seemed like a given that Ava Jerome (Maura West) would easily become the next woman he was waking up to, it looks like she may have some stiff competition to welcome into that race.
With the perfect opportunity for a first date on the horizon, Sonny needs a plus-one for Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) wedding. Ava might have thought she was a shoo-in, but she’s about to learn otherwise.
General Hospital Spoilers — Ava Did Come First
Ava has been biding her time at the penthouse and looking for every avenue possible to further entrench herself in Sonny’s life — and his heart.
Gaining access to that hardened part of his soul won’t be easy, or so she thought. But watching him open up so easily to someone else — like Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue) — is leading Ava to believe she’ll have to up her game.
Hanging onto Sonny won’t be easy if he doesn’t consider Ava to be a romantic partner of interest. How can she change that — and fast?

Natalia may have Sonny’s attention right now, but Ava could quickly pull it away by lighting a fire around either of them.
The right kind of drama being perfectly placed around Natalia — or any clarity as to how uncomfortable she is with Kristina Corinthos Davis (Kate Mansi) — could be the nail in the coffin Ava is looking for to set herself apart from her new competition.
At the same time, Ava might reach into her old bag of tricks and find a way to highlight how important it is that Sonny keeps his focus on her and Avery Corinthos (Grace Scarola).
That being said, Natalia may not go softly into the night, especially if she suspects foul play on Ava’s part.
General Hospital Spoilers — Sonny Could Fly Solo
Angling for an entrance into the Quartermaine orbit isn’t Natalia’s best form, given that she wasn’t very keen on two Quartermaine women being involved in the deal at Deception with her daughter.
Not looking highly upon the family, one has to wonder why she wants anything to do with Brook Lynn’s happy day.
Ava might be able to paint that picture for Sonny in time for him to decide it’s just not the right time for him to be seen in public with another woman — as though he’s ever cared about that before his divorce was finalized in the past.
Still, we can expect that if Sonny does head to Brook Lynn’s big day without a woman on his arm, he may not necessarily leave that way. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to see how this plays out.
