The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) might find that they have a lot in common right about now. Y&R fans know Lily finally returned to Genoa City and found a betrayal waiting for her instead of the happy reunion she was expecting.

Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) came clean about landing in bed with Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) once while Lily was away, but that wasn’t even the worst part.

Lily reminded Daniel that there are other forms of cheating and felt betrayed over all the sneaking around he’d been doing with Heather on an emotional level.

Of course, Daniel eventually admitted that he never stopped loving Heather, so it’s not surprising that Lily’s feeling so burned.

Lily helped Daniel become a better man, but she certainly isn’t benefiting from all the work she put into the relationship.

Heather just came along and snatched Daniel right back once Lily helped him get his life together.

Lily must be feeling like that whole romance was a giant waste of time and a huge source of disappointment.

Now that Nick understands Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) extreme pull to Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), he’s in the same boat.

Nick finally had to walk away from Sally since her connection with Adam was so undeniable.

Although Nick was there for Sally throughout her previous Adam heartbreak and even her baby loss, she still wound up reuniting with Adam.

It’d be easy for Nick and Lily to relate to each other since they both poured their hearts into relationships that were destined to fail due to their partners’ exes.

Although Nick turned down Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) no-strings-attached proposal, that was partly because she was drunk and partly because nothing good ever comes from any version of that romance.

It’s better just to avoid Phyllis’ bed entirely! Nick may not feel that way about kicking off something fresh and exciting with Lily.

Even if Nick has some concerns about Lily being on the rebound, she might assure him that she knows what she’s doing and just wants to forget for a while.

Maybe Nick and Lily will come together for a spring fling and spend some time doing the whole “no-strings” thing that Phyllis previously suggested.
