The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) has a pattern that we just can’t ignore. No matter what kind of happy life Billy settles into, he has a habit of self-sabotaging and blowing it all up somehow.

We’re already seeing the warning signs now that Billy’s becoming so power-hungry at Chancellor-Winters.

It’s a surefire sign that Billy is starting to feel restless and that he’s craving more risks.

The gambler in Billy just can’t resist pushing the envelope and crossing lines, so he may be on the verge of messing up his solid relationship with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).

Billy recently pitched quite an idea to Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) since he thinks they should be running Chancellor-Winters together.

If Billy gets his way, Devon Hamilton-Winters) could essentially be demoted while Billy rises to the top alongside Lily.

At some point, Lily might become more open to the suggestion, especially if Billy plays this just right.

It’s easy to imagine Billy pitting Lily and Devon against each other as he works to achieve his corporate goals.

Of course, Billy and Lily were a couple before he got together with Chelsea, so it’d be a mistake to forget about their old feelings for each other.

There’s a chance those feelings could bubble up and make a mess of things.

It might lead to Lily and Billy mixing business with pleasure behind closed doors. Could Billy and Lily ultimately kick off a secret affair?

It would obviously be hypocritical for Lily to do that right after giving Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) and Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) such a hard time about their own betrayal.

However, Genoa City is full of hypocrites on any given day, so there’s no reason Lily can’t be one by beginning a new Y&R cheating storyline.

It could actually end up changing Lily’s opinion and perhaps softening her toward Daniel and Heather’s situation.

As for Billy, he’d have his reasons for betraying Chelsea instead of just breaking things off.

Billy might worry about Chelsea’s mental stability if he walks away, especially when she’s dealing with so much Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) drama.

Maybe Billy and Lily could land in a situation that’s similar to the one Daniel and Heather faced.

Lily and Billy might find themselves unable to fight a sizzling reunion, but they might hold off on telling Chelsea the truth until Connor finds his footing at his new facility.

Whatever the case, our predictions point to Lily’s life getting a lot more complicated soon, so stay tuned for updates on whether Billy will play a role in that.
