The LPBW notable explained why she was absent on social media.
“I know! It’s been a while since I’ve been on Live,” the TLC star said to the camera.
“I apologize for that. But when you go back to a different kind of job. Obviously, I was doing the show for a long, long, long time.”
“I still lead with hope in my heart. And I want to give that kind of hope to each and every one of my students that I encounter,” she continued.
“Whether I do or not, who knows? But it’s kind of nice to hope. At least for a moment.”
“I was in a class that I haven’t been in a while. And to see some of those kids and just helping, supporting, and stuff like that,” Amy shared.
“They were unsure because I hadn’t been there, which is understandable, The second day got better. The third day got a little better.
“I’m looking forward to next week because I get to teach a first-grade class. I’m excited about it!” Amy closed with a smile.‘

LEAVING THE SHOW
Amy’s career move came after daughter-in-law Tori, 32, and her son Zach, 33, confirmed they are not returning for Season 26.
In late February, the couple explained why they are quitting the series on their new podcast, Raising Heights.
“Let’s just talk about the elephant in the room. Are we coming back to Little People Big World?” Tori shared.
“We are not. We made that pretty clear the last cycle,” Zach announced.
“But I don’t think it’s been officially announced to people like we are not coming back to Little People Big World. We are done. That part in our lives, that chapter has closed,” Tori added.
