The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Sharon Case Deserves Better – Y&R Fans Want More Airtime & New Stories for Sharon Newman

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that there’s one cast member who’s getting a lot of attention on social media. Sharon Case (Sharon Newman) has been one of Y&R’s most popular performers for many years, but you’d never know it based on the material she’s been getting lately.

Back in June 2023, the show got rave reviews for bringing Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) back to torment Sharon.

That was mostly because it gave Case a chance to show off her acting skills in an exciting storyline that was worth tuning in for.

However, that action quickly fizzled and left Sharon without much to do.

At this point, Sharon is barely ever on – and when she does make appearances, it’s only for dull business drama or to give other GC residents free counseling.

That’s why plenty of viewers have been speaking out online in support of Case and her beloved character.

Regardless of what Sharon pairings you like and what kind of stories you prefer, most of us can agree that both Sharon Case and Sharon Newman deserve better!

Sharon had a special dream episode back in January, but that’s not a substitute for an actual storyline and quality airtime to go along with it.

Some fans also complained about Y&R abruptly dropping Sharon and Chance Chancellor’s (Conner Floyd) pairing in favor of a new Chance and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) romance.

Although we weren’t clamoring for an awkward love triangle that featured both Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) ex-wife and daughter, it was still an example of Sharon getting sidelined.

It might be different if Sharon was given a new story of her own to replace the one that she lost, but that didn’t happen.

Instead, Sharon has been spending her days handling the occasional video call or explaining what OCD is to Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).

It’s time for the writers to figure out a better path for Sharon, so let’s hope that she’ll get some meaty content and a fresh story direction eventually.
