Daniel meets Heather at Society. She asks how Lily took the news that they’re back together. She understands if he couldn’t go through with it. Lucy worried that he’s such a nice guy it might be difficult. Daniel asks, “Lucy was worried… or you?”

Lily joins Devon at Chancellor-Winters. He welcomes her back and she blurts, “How could you not tell me about Daniel and Heather?!” Devon supposes this means she knows and asks how she’s doing. Lily snarks, “How do you think I’m doing?” She wants more than an “I’m sorry,” but Devon explains that Daniel asked him to let him be the one to tell her. He hated keeping it from her, Daniel did too. They didn’t want to overwhelm her when she was trying to be there for Mattie. Lily is trying to be mature, but she really just wants to scream and slap Daniel in the face. “And maybe you too!”

They go over Daniel and Heather’s strong connection. Lily felt it when Heather came to town, but Daniel didn’t want to admit it. When he broke up with her, she understood that he wanted to have his family again. As hurt as she is, it makes sense in a way. “And then I ask him if he’s fallen back in love with Heather… and he tells me that he actually never stopped loving her.” It wasn’t for Lucy, it was for himself. “What does that say about our relationship?” Devon will do anything he can to help make her feel better. Lily sighs. She’s not angry at Devon, “I’m just really, really sad. I thought what Daniel and I had was special. I guess I was wrong.”

In her suite, Audra packs for Paris. A knock comes at the door — it’s Tucker. She pulls him inside and kisses him. Audra rambles that she’s probably packing too much, especially with the shopping in Paris. She tells him she managed to get them reservations at an exclusive restaurant near the Eiffel Tower. Tucker informs her they have to postpone the trip. He tells her the people they want to meet with aren’t available for a month. Audra doesn’t think that’s reason enough to cancel the trip. Tucker tells her it seems foolish to go when they can’t meet the key players. “We’ll wait. A month, six weeks.” Audra fumes that he’s lying. “This is about Ashley, isn’t it?!”

In the GCAC dining room, Abby tells Ashley she’s officially on the board at Chancellor-Winters. Ashley keeps muttering, “That’s nice,” as he rambles on. Abby calls her out for being distracted and reminds her she can talk to her about anything. “Unless… please tell me you’re not thinking about Tucker.” Ashley thinks Abby is the one with Tucker on the brain — she’s over him. “And no more threatening him.” Abby asks how she’d know about that unless she’d seen him. Ashley was speaking in general.

Abby cops to threatening McCall last night out of protectiveness. She reveals that he thinks Ashley is pretending to forgive him so she can later screw him over. Ashley deems that ridiculous and wants to move on. Abby wants assurances that he’s out of her life for good, but Ashley changes the subject back to Chancellor-Winters. As Abby starts rambling again, a voice in Ashley’s head groans, “Ugh, Ashley’s daughter is such a pain in the ass. The questions, questions, questions about Tucker. And when it’s not about him, it’s all me, me, me. I can’t wait until I’ve cleaned up this mess and Ashley can come back to deal with her nosy, irritating daughter and her nosy, irritating family.” She tells Abby she has to get back to the lab and abruptly stands up. Abby makes a face.

In Audra’s suite, Tucker insists his postponing the trip has nothing to do with Ashley. Audra’s not buying it after the Abbott’s performance last night. Tucker wants to go to Paris with Audra, but it doesn’t seem like the right time. Audra rants about Ashley and Tucker reiterates that his decision isn’t about her. Audra decides she’ll contact the key players in Paris for a straight answer. Tucker asks what she wants from him. She replies, “The truth.” Tucker asks if this is how it’s going to be — every conversation devolves into accusations about Ashley?! He spent months trying to convince Ashley he was trustworthy and isn’t interested in going through that with Audra. With that, he storms out.

In the GCAC foyer, Abby questions Ashley again about forgiving Tucker. Ashley tells her she only asked Devon to forgive him because she made a mistake about his dad. Abby goes on her way and the voice in Ashley’s head snarks, “That was insufferable.”

Suddenly, Tucker comes down the stairs. Ashley takes in his demeanor and asks, “What’s wrong? Audra?” Tucker asks Ashley what’s going on inside her head. He tells her she put on quite a show last night. She insists she meant every word of it. Tucker suspects that she doesn’t really know what she wants or what she’s doing. Ashley wants to go someplace private to discuss. She gestures toward the stairs and his room. He says, “No!” Ashley mocks him for caring what Audra thinks. She knows he’s still in Genoa City because of her and guesses Audra knows it too. Tucker says, “You’re not you.” He tells her, “Follow me.”

In her suite, Audra mutters, “I’m so stupid.” She throws her suitcase off the bed and cries before grabbing her coat and purse and heading out the door.

At Society, Daniel tells Heather that he told Lily everything. She was hurt and upset, but on some level she wasn’t surprised. Heather asks, “Really?” She asks if he’s OK. Daniel says he may have been a little too honest with Lily. She asked if he’d fallen back in love with her, and he told her he’d never stopped loving her. Heather tells him he’s a good man. Daniel doubts Lily would agree with her. He regrets that he hurt Lily, but he’s not sorry that they reconnected and have their entire future together. Daniel kisses Heather’s hand.

At Chancellor-Winters, Lily laments her track record in love and Devon urges her to take the day off. Lily doesn’t want to and asks about his issues with Billy. “I need to know, unless it’s terrible news.” Devon says it’s definitely not good. He continues, “On a positive note, Chance is fitting in nicely.” Abby comes in and interrupts the conversation with a hug and questions for Lily, who congratulates her for joining the board. Lily asks if Billy is going back to Jabot now that she’s back. Devon says he doubts it. Billy has turned his time there into a crusade to protect Jill and her legacy from them and their family. Lily asks if this is still about the name change. Devon says he’s onto a new power play now. Lily mutters about him being full of ideas. Devon says this one is Mamie’s actually — she wants to divide Chancellor-Winters into two separate entities.

Audra storms into Crimson Lights and runs into Sally, who chats about Glissade’s new lipstick line. Audra says Tucker’s making the decisions right now. Sally asks what it’s like working with McCall. Audra says it’s probably no different than working with Adam Newman. Sally says, “Point taken,” and then invites Audra to join her for a coffee. Audra muses, “Sure. I’d like that.”

Audra proposes a toast to both of them being fired from Newman Media and surviving. Sally muses that working with the Newmans can be a nightmare, unless you are a nightmare. “When you’re involved with one of them, it makes for even more complications.” Audra asks if she and Adam are together. Sally says, “We are.” Audra’s happy for her, no matter how complicated it is. Sally asks about her and Tucker. Audra says they’re more than just business partners, but alludes to issues. “I should be on a plane to Paris with him right now.” Sally asks what happened. Audra says Tucker claims there are issues with their associates in Paris. Sally senses she doesn’t believe that.

Audra asks Sally how well she knows Tucker’s ex-wife, Ashley. Sally says not well and wonders if Audra thinks something is still going on between them. The brunette explains that Ashley wants Tucker back and isn’t making a secret of it. She doesn’t believe Tucker’s done with her. She questions if Tucker’s worth fighting for, or if she should bail before things get ugly. Sally wonders if she can help at all. Audra says Tucker is brilliant and doesn’t let anything get in the way of what he wants. It’s exciting and intoxicating. Sally bets she can’t get enough, even when the voice in her head tells her to run like hell. Audra has run, but came back. She says Ashley has always been his ideal. If she’s gotten in his head again, maybe they just deserve each other. Sally doesn’t see Audra as the type to give up. Audra doesn’t want to get hurt again. Sally understands that — she tried to get Adam out of her system. But when you have a once in a lifetime love, sometimes it’s worth fighting harder for what you have.

In the jazz lounge, Ashley orders an Old-Fashioned and Tucker frowns. That’s not her. “The Ashley I know is subtle and understated, thoughtful. But the way you’ve been lately, that display last night in my suite… it’s reckless and dark.” Ashley muses that maybe she needs to be a little more like him. She lunges at him for a kiss, but he stops her. She pouts that he’s no fun. Tucker doesn’t know what’s going on with her, and he’s pretty sure she doesn’t know either. Ashley says her endgame is him. Tucker complains about her total change of heart. “I don’t buy it.” Ashley asks what she’d have to gain by setting him up. “I want to give you everything you wanted. You and me, the way we used to be.”

Tucker tells Ashley he saw something in her eyes last night, and he’s seeing it right now. At first he thought it was doubt, but now he realizes it’s confusion. McCall has never been more convinced that something’s off. Ashley scoffs that it’s because he can’t admit he loves her, he has to make it out like she has mental health issues. Tucker says if there’s something wrong here and he has any responsibility in it at all, he wants to help her. Ashley insists nothing’s wrong with her; she just wants to go back to how thing used to be. Tucker asks if they got back together, she would abandon her family this time. She replies, “In a heartbeat. I ruined everything and I deeply regret it. It will never happen again.” She kisses him and he lets her.

At Chancellor-Winters, Devon warns Lily and Abby that Billy will probably bring the split to the board for a vote. He’s against it because it’s too extreme. Abby moans that she’s torn between two families that she loves. Devon tells Lily that all hell’s about to break loose and she probably came home at the best time possible. Lily sighs.

At Daniel’s place, Heather asks him if he thinks the situation with Lily will make things challenging at work. Daniel’s sure they’re all adults and can work it out. They switch gears to the kid who wants to take Lucy to the prom. Daniel doesn’t know if he’s ready for this. Heather asks, “What about us? Are you ready for that?” Daniel tells her, “You have no idea.” Heather is glad there will be no more hiding. They can kiss anywhere, except maybe Chancellor-Winters. Daniel wouldn’t want to make Lily uncomfortable, but otherwise, he can’t wait to see what’s next. They keep kissing.
