There is no denying that Shemar Moore is an immensely talented actor. His on-screen alter-ego on The Young and The Restless has been highly revered by fans. However, it is a real pain that we don’t get to see him as Malcolm on Y&R anymore. But that could change very soon, given the latest developments in his life!

The actor has just wrapped up his starring role on CBS’ S.W.A.T. The series itself has reached the end of its series finale. Which means The Young and The Restless star will now have more time on his plate to dedicate towards other projects.

In fact, in a recent chat with First For Women, Shemar divulged that he is open to reprising his Daytime Emmy Winning role of Malcom Winters on The Young and The Restless. Although he did point that he is also very interested in newer adventures.

In the recent past, we saw Shemar Moore return to reprise Malcolm for The Young and The Restless 50th anniversary. The storyline saw him joining Devon and Lily as he paid homage to his late brother Neil (Kristoff St. John).

Speaking about his rapport with his former co-star , Kristoff St. John, Shemar shared that they had a great bond. Kristoff even assured him that he would make it big when he was leaving The Young and The Restless for his run on primetime.

Shemar’s many return stints to the CBS sudser are proof that the star and the makers are on good terms and that the door to his return is certainly open. We hope that in due time both parties manage to reach an agreement and the writers are able to weave Malcolm’s return in the ongoing storylines.
