The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Lawson) has been playing some emotional material lately as Chelsea tries to cope with Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) obsessive compulsive disorder and trauma.

Chelsea has been getting support from both Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) as her boyfriend and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) as co-parent, so they’ve both become quite important on Chelsea’s latest journey.

In fact, some fans are starting to wonder if a romantic reunion might be on the horizon for Chelsea and Adam now that their bond is growing stronger again.

In an interview with First for Women, Melissa Claire Egan opened up about a variety of topics – including whether Adam and Chelsea might get back together.

Let’s look at what Egan had to say about that possibility.

“Adam and Chelsea were so important to each other for so many years and have gone through so much,” Egan said. “I would never think the two of them are forever over, because they have such history and always fall back into that.”

Egan also talked about growing on soaps that involve a lot of messy cheating and betrayal cover-ups.

When the viewers at home know things the characters don’t know yet, that’s something Egan clearly thinks is daytime drama gold!

As for what’s ahead in Genoa City, Egan hinted that she hoped Chelsea’s days of plotting and making mistakes weren’t behind her – at least not permanently.

The Y&R star also talked about two love interests who she wants to see fighting over Chelsea.

“I mean, I would LOVE a good Adam/Billy love triangle,” Egan confessed. “How lucky would I be, right? To have the two of them pining after Chelsea?”

For now, Melissa Claire Egan insisted she was glad about the material she’s currently getting and that she was eager to see the rest of Connor’s Y&R storyline play out.
