Billy meets Chelsea at the Club and asks if she wants to get a table. Chelsea only has a few minutes because Connor’s doctor wants to do a video conference today to update them on his status. It’s killing her not talking to her son and there’s so much she doesn’t understand. Billy hopes the doctor sets her mind at ease. Chelsea says there’s another issue. “I’m not doing the call alone.” Adam walks up and asks if she’s ready to hear what the so-called doctors have been doing to their son.

Billy reminds Adam these are respected doctors. Adam hopes it’s only going to be him and Chelsea on the call. Chelsea assures Adam they’ll be the only ones on the call and they’ll give them insight into their son. Billy kisses Chelsea and goes. Chelsea asks Adam to go into this with an open mind. He’ll do his best.

Outside Society, Phyllis asks Summer to calm down on the phone. She assures her that Harrison will be found. She says, “Let me come with you,” and then promises, “I won’t.” She notices Daniel and Danny inside and asks if she’s told her brother about any of this. Phyllis then promises not to tell him or do anything crazy.

Inside, Danny tells Daniel there’s been a change in his plans. Daniel wonders if he’s cancelling the tour. Danny chides that he’ll be a rock start forever, but he’s had to push his schedule a bit while Cricket decides if she’s even going to go. Phyllis creeps up and remarks on Cricket waffling again.

Daniel asks if his mother is picking up takeout. Phyllis joins them and rambles about Cricket backpedaling — it’s not shocking since no one could imagine her living a life on the edge letting it all hang out. Danny explains she’s been offered an important case. Phyllis scoffs, “So, you’re holding up your entire tour on her deciding whether or not she should take a case.” She says she would never do the same for him, ever. Danny replies that it’s not Phyllis’ business, but they were leaving early to have a few days before the first concert. He’s not cancelling any shows by pushing the trip back. Phyllis bets an order of empanadas that the Bug chooses her career over him.

At Chancellor-Winters, Nate and Devon enter Lily’s office and she says she has bad news. Daniel is suing them to keep control of Princess Luisa and other games on the Omegasphere platform. Legal says their contract is solid, but she’s sure Heather will try to find a loophole. She’s confident she’ll lose. Nate worries about this going into the business press. Is it worth going to war with the guy? “Maybe we should give Daniel what he wants.”

Lily argues that Omegasphere is the reason they’re so profitable right now, why would they give him what he wants?! Nate argues that Daniel created the entire division. She’s already taken away his job to punish him. “Isn’t that enough?” Lily denies she’s punishing anyone. He was fired in the interests of protecting company moral. Nate urges her to take a moment to think about the spin that will be put out there. “That’s not who you are or what you want this company to be.” Billy walks in and says this lawsuit isn’t a good luck and he’s been warning about this from the beginning. It makes Lily look petty and opens up the door to people questioning her leadership. Lily wonders how she became the bad guy in this situation.

Lily reminds them that Daniel cheated on her with a woman who is now his attorney. Billy points out she fired that woman for personal reasons. “This is professional concern from me.” Nate agrees. This could adversely affect the company. “Let him walk away with what he brought to the table.” Lily argues that all he brought was ideas and some artwork. They brought the team, coders, designers, and office space. It doesn’t make sense to get rid of a prosperous division. Nate says Omegasphere will be fine without two or three of its video games. The division will be just fine. Lily argues they don’t have games in development to replace the ones they’d lose. Billy thinks it’s better than her being painted as a vindictive CEO. Lily asks if Devon can help her out. If they walk away from these games they’re giving up the book and movie rights. Devon agrees with her. Billy snaps, “If it wasn’t me arguing that point, Devon, would you still agree with your sister?”

Devon asks if he’s implying that he’s making business decisions only to contradict him. Billy says it was a simple question. What pisses him off the most is that the Winters were in there having a meeting about a major concern without him. If he hadn’t poked his head in, he’d have had no idea this company was headed for a major trainwreck. “Not to mention the PR nightmare when the media gets a hold of this.” Devon tells him to get over himself. Lily tells them to stop. Nate wants to focus on the issue at hand. Lily thinks they should go to the board and let them decide.

At Adam’s place, Chelsea tells him she’s nervous. He assures her she looks good and calm. Chelsea makes him promise not to fly off the handle. They make the call and the doctor appears on the screen. They’re surprised she’s alone without Connor’s entire team. The doctor says Connor’s therapists are working with her and she’ll answer any questions they have. Adam learns he has a trauma therapist and asks why he needs that.

The doctor goes on about Connor being a great kid and talks about his nutrition and caloric intake. Adam says that’s great, but can she tell them about Connor’s trauma. The doctor explains that in his sessions, evidence emerged of co-morbidity — two or more medical conditions that exist simultaneously. Connor has OCD and trauma. It’s possible the OCD was triggered by traumatic incidents. Adam asks what incidents she’s talking about. “What did we do?” The doctor says no one is to blame but there are a couple of avenues for treatment. They’ve learned that Connor carries an overwhelming sense of guilt — he believes that things that have happened to his parents are his fault and have even led him to question why he was born.

Chelsea and Adam learn that questioning why he was born is one of Connor’s intrusive thoughts. Adam asks if the specialists believe that they inflicted this trauma on him. The doctor says not at all. Chelsea asks what trauma she’s talking about. The doctor says they don’t know yet. They shouldn’t try to find blame, which is unproductive. They ask if they can see Connor soon. The doctor says that Connor is strong and one of the tools they’re using is journaling. Connor is seen on a bench journaling as she explains he’s writing down his thoughts and fears. Adam’s skeptical, and she suggests they trust the therapy. Adam asks how he’s supposed to get through that without them — how are they supposed to get through it? Chelsea tells him if this is what will help Connor get better, they have no choice.

At Society, Danny still can’t believe that Lily fired Daniel. Daniel understands that she didn’t want to see his face at the office evry day. Phyllis thinks it was a cheap shot. Danny says, “Your mother’s right. Very unprofessional and not like Lily at all.” Phyllis says, “See, we see eye-to-eye,” and notes that they can’t ask Christine what she thinks because she’s too busy with her career. Danny gets a text and has to go. Phyllis mocks him for being summoned by Cricket. Danny walks out and Daniel tells his mother it was clearly a lie when she said she’d accepted that his father had moved on.

At Chancellor-Winters, Devon and Nate disagree with Lily’s plan to take this to the board. Billy agrees with her. Devon snips, “Which means he thinks the board is going to vote his way.” Billy says, “We’ll see, won’t we?” and walks out. Nate follows. Lily asks Devon to be honest with her. If Billy hadn’t been there arguing, would he have sided with her? Devon insists he is on her side, although Billy and Nate made valid points. If they settle, they avoid the unpleasantness and things getting ugly. Lily says things have already gotten ugly and she won’t lose anything else to Daniel and Heather.

At Adam’s place, Chelsea and Adam’s call is over and debate what they’ve heard. Adam thinks Connor deserves more than guess work. Chelsea cries, “It was me, wasn’t it? My issues. The rooftop. This all started with me, didn’t it? I think Connor blames himself for my problems.” Adam says that it’s everything that Connor has gone through. Chelsea can’t help but blame herself. Adam paces. His son thought he was dead and then he showed up and he had to go to therapy for that. Chelsea wails, “It started with me on the roof!” That, along with telling him Johnny was his brother. Adam thinks it was all too much to take. Chelsea wonders how they didn’t see that their son was suffering so badly.

At Society, Phyllis insists that she’s moved on, but Christine will hurt him. Daniel says Danny can take care of himself and doesn’t need her worrying about him. He asks what’s going on with her and apologizes for putting her job at risk. Just then, Chance and Nate walk in. Phyllis guesses they know about Daniel’s lawsuit. Daniel says they should be worried about it — Heather thinks they have a solid case and can win it. He just wants what’s fair. Phyllis tells her son she has inside information and his lawsuit isn’t the only mess at the company right now. He should consider himself lucky that he got out and is moving on to greener, healthier environments. Daniel hopes so. Phyllis wonders what Nate and Chance are talking about. Daniel wonders if they should eavesdrop and knows she’d totally do that if he weren’t there.

Phyllis swears she won’t entangle herself in anything. Daniel can see the gears turning. Phyllis walks over to Chance and Nate and says she’s shocked by the firing of Daniel and Heather. She can’t believe Lily and Devon would fire them over something so petty. “I can’t imagine that the two of you would condone such firings.” Nate doesn’t see how it’s her business what they think. “This is a business move.” Phyllis asks what Chance thinks. He says it’s above his paygrade. Phyllis announces she will ask Billy what he thinks. “I’ve been hearing that there’s a lot of discontent going on in the Chancellor-Winters C-suite.” Nate tells her not to worry about it. Phyllis wonders if Billy will give her an actual answer.

At Chancellor-Winters, Devon tells Lily that Daniel has a case — she fired him without cause. Lily argues that he cheated on her while she was helping her daughter through an emotional trauma. Now he wants to fight her and let his girlfriend trash her in the court of public opinion? Let him try. Lily is tired of playing nice.

At the Club, Danny greets Christine with a kiss and tells her he as super glad to get her text. He asks if she’s made a decision, but first gifts her with an official concert tour t-shirt. As soon as he finishes the first show, he’ll come straight to her. He hopes she’s leaning in his favor. He’ll serenade her every night. “Anything and everything your heart desires.” Christine tells him he makes her feel adored, but this client needs her. She can’t walk away from the case anymore than he can walk away from his tour. Danny understands. Her client is getting the best of the best. Chris wishes she could have told him what he wants to hear. Danny was just thinking about how much fun they’d have had together. Christine assures him this isn’t the end and she’ll come on weekends when possible. They should make the most of the time they have together before he goes. Danny can’t refuse that offer and kisses her.

At Adam’s place, Chelsea says there’s nothing they can do for Connor except let his team take care of him. Adam asks what happens once they unravel his trauma. What if he hates them? Chelsea says he would never hate them, he loves them. Adam worries that he’ll blame them. Chelsea asks, “What do you want him to do? Just push everything down?” He has to get better and this place will give him the tools. “We can’t make this about us.” They have to do whatever he needs. Adam asks, “What if what he needs is to never see us again?” Chelsea doesn’t believe that would ever happen. They will give him tools to manage his triggers. “Our son is coming home to us!” Adam worries he’ll take off when he’s eighteen. Chelsea can’t have this conversation. Adam says fine, but they can’t avoid it forever, either.

At Crimson Lights, Billy asks if Chelsea wants to talk about the conversation with the doctor. Chelsea updates him. She says Adam was good on the call, but he’s worried they’ll lose him. That Connor will be angry with them. Billy thinks Adam should stop dumping his panic onto her. Chelsea asks what will happen if Connor decides he’s better off without them?
